"Crater 26 was a perfect place to stay for our getaway in paradise. It was well located, clean and comfortable. The owner and manager provided great perks, like beach chairs, towels and a cooler, pantry staples, bath products, and so much more. The beds were comfy and the kitchen and baths were nicely updated. The grounds were lush and the pool was clean and inviting. While the place was great, the manager and owner were even better. When we were inconvenienced by some unplanned landscaping maintenance issues, the owner stepped up and made it right for us. Crater 26 was incredible but the people behind it were the real gems. Highly recommend!"

"I would NOT recommend this place. I think they are unprofessional and unethical. In March 2021 I reserved a rental with Destination Kauai for late November to attend my sister's wedding. 4 months later on July 24th, I was notified that this reservation had been changed; however, I was assured that another unit was available at the same property. One month later I received another email notifying me that the reservation has been canceled due to double booking. Not sure why this took a whole month to let us know that this unit was already booked? Could they have booked someone else who was willing to pay much more since rates were significantly higher now? Because of this error, I was left scrambling for an alternative 3 months prior to our scheduled vacation. We had already purchased expensive flights, rental cars, and other accommodations, so canceling our trip was not an option. Now rental prices are through the roof, and the selection is very limited. This caused my family much stress and ended up paying big for their mistake. I would avoid them in the future."
