"Applied online and received confirmation of application. Started calling to follow up three weeks after application (website says expect appointment within 30 days. I have spent countless hours on hold for a live person only to be told by a robot that I will be called back “in the order my call was received “ finally after 29 days from Application I get a voicemail saying to call in by the next day or to go into the Kona office by 3 pm. I call ALL day without success or call back, had to pick up my child from school and then I rush to Kona: I arrived at 3:08pm. Security guard turns me away saying come back Monday (it’s Friday) I explain I’ve been calling multiple times/day for two weeks and have a message to come to Kona on this day. Too bad, no one will see me. That drive cost me $30 in gas for nothing but more frustration. What a joke."
"I have tried to get in contact many times. Left multiple voicemails and gotten no response. I have a very urgent issue that needs to be resolved but no one is helping me. Really disappointing that our government offices are so unorganized and unprofessional."
"Compared to places on the mainland these people are so great and helpful."
"For SNAP I was told I only had to call once and leave a voicemail for my interview. By the time they had called me back it had already been 3 weeks since I submitted my application and I was denied because it took over a month to reach someone by phone. No matter what they say CALL OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Went to another office. I have no idea who is going to read the review for this but I hope the advice helps someone"
