"There are 2 gated playgrounds. One was locked - the one the kids wanted to go into and the one that was unlocked had some safety issues to look out for."
"The city needs to take better care of the park, reseed the grass cause I have never seen it green and it looks uninviting"
"Great park! They don't have a huge playground for the little ones, but there is one. They have about 3 or 4 basketball courts. There are lots of space with tables and grills for small or large gatherings. Anytime is a good time to check this park out as it's never full. A very laid back park!"
"Nice park on Simmons and Gilmore in North Las Vegas. The park is open from 5 a.m. to midnight. It has two areas for kids 5-12, 2 tennis courts (one of which needs some TLC because the net looks in bad shape), 6 areas for toss-the-ring fun, 8 spots for bocci ball, some BBQ areas, a baseball ring, a lot of lawn area, and restrooms with 2 stolls each in both the Men and Women restrooms. They have toilet paper and a sink each."
"Even though this is a newer park the North Las Vegas Council and Parks Board do not monitor the safety and maintenance of the park. I plan to attend the Council Meeting and the Parks Board Meeting and ask why there is no maintenance done on this park. Here are the issues: 50% of the lighting does not work. There is gang graffiti tagged around the tennis courts. Trash is everywhere. Trash cans are overflowing due to lack of maintaining the park. I saw a homeless person camped out by the tennis courts. The facilities are in disrepair. I am looking for the person to point the finger at and ask them to fix it. City Council? Public Works? Parks Board? Today, the residents from 3660 Fuslier area decide to empty their trash can into the park trash can...Really?"
