"I’ve played over 100 escape rooms and would not recommend the SAW escape room. While I was really looking forward to it, it was not a fun experience. While the room shines with spectacular sets and a large footprint, the puzzles are poorly designed and the timed rooms make the experience more frustrating than fun. It’s clear the owners prioritize profit over players. This is not a typical escape room because it is both a publicly booked room, and they have an 8 to 10 minute timer for each room counting down. When the timer reaches 0 you must move to next room, no matter if you failed or passed. This is extremely frustrating because in many of the rooms, even if you told the staff you wanted clues, they won’t help you and you get stuck with no support. And with this being a public game, you are often stuck with people who do not know what they’re doing and do not contribute to the game. Our group had 9 people, and I would say it’s far too many for this room given a lot of the puzzles are linear. Again, I really do want to stress that the room designs and the quality of the build are beautiful and reflect the movies perfectly. So it’s truly a shame that the design of the puzzles didn’t live up to the quality of the set. In some cases, you even required outside knowledge to complete puzzles, which is a big no-no in escape room design. For two of the puzzles, our team entered the right codes, but the game did not accept them and we failed. After the game ended, the staff told us that we just needed to wait longer doing nothing and eventually, the code would’ve worked. I’m sorry, what?! They should have been explained to us prior to the game if there were quirks to their locks. It should also be noted that I purchased our tickets using a Groupon that said that it would include a free SAW collectors coin, but nobody in my group was given this. We only realized it after we left, but the staff should have had it marked on the reservation."

"First time trying the Saw escape room and ohhh it was fun! We entered different rooms and stages and solved interesting puzzles and really made us use our logic and thinking. Our guide Maya (Bailey) really helped us and made our escape experience really worth while. The rooms, puzzles, props, and sound effects really added to the thrill and felt like we’re really part of the movie. Overall, we enjoyed it and most likely to come back and bring new friends!"
