"Helpful, kind, and caring "
"The staff really care and deliver immediate, effective and compassionate support."
"Bad service"
"I'm not sure about their shelter or other services, but I definitely cannot recommend their peer counseling services. Three times I made an appointment with someone and all three times the people who I was supposed to meet with weren’t there. No one called me to let me know or reschedule. The first two times I got to talk with someone else, but because it was someone new each time I just had to repeat my reasons for being there. The last time there wasn't anyone there for me to talk to, so I had made the trip for nothing and was stuck waiting for my ride for an hour. Update: I took away a star because the therapist-in-training that I had begun seeing individually through Wild Iris canceled her appointment with me then completely blew me off after I complained here about their shoddy scheduling practices, basically confirming that they are unreliable and vindictive. How unprofessional! In hindsight, I wish that I had never sought out their services, as the poor treatment that I received actually made the issues that I was seeking counseling for worse. It took a lot of courage and commitment to healing for me to even attempt to address the PTSD that I have from abuse. The treatment that I received from Wild Iris basically concreted feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness in someone who was actively experiencing a mental health crisis. They showed me that if I am drowning and reach out to an organization like this for help I can expect only to have my head held under the water."
