"Loved this Visitor Center! Great displays to help understand what the Japanese -Americans experienced during WWII. Make sure you get an ID Tag on the red wall and follow "your person's" story."
"Important history to see firsthand. It's not really possible to understand the scale without seeing it firsthand. It helped us understand that while the camps were a lousy place to live, it's what happened before and after to the people who were there that was perhaps the most upsetting."
"It was nice to come back and have buildings actually open and be able to go in and experience that part. The film is a silent one but there is a talking one in YouTube that's very interesting."
"This place is highly educational. I thought I knew a decent amount of information on the subject but I still learned a lot during my visit. It was very moving and my sister and I did get very emotional reading the testimonials, letters and stories. I think everyone needs to take a trip to this place as I feel we should all learn from our past in order to do better in the future."
"Well maintained and recreated grounds to tell the story of Japanese treatment during the latter part of WWII. Mount Whitney overlooks the valley where so much history took place. You can do a self driving tour or walk the grounds. Some of the buildings are original and one houses an educational center where one can learn from the past."
