"Super Disappointment. Gone are the days when going to a hotel means to be serviced well or pampered if a high end brand. We've stayed in Courtyard's before. Just came from a JW Marriott the other day in Las Vegas and checked into this Reno Courtyard Downtown Riverfront - March 6 – 10, 2024. 1. At check in, was told no cleaning service every other day. We checked in for 4 nights, so that means only 1 cleaning of the room for 4 nights. YIKES !!!! At the previous Marriott Hotels we've stayed in, it was a customer decision when not to clean your room. We feel bad for the cleaning crew that we tip every day for that service. And we've stayed plenty of nights at Marriott to earn Titanium Elite Lifetime loyalty membership. 2. No free bottled water. $5 if you open one. 3. Asked the front desk to print and review my bill the night before as we were checking out at 6am the next day. Front Desk says they don't do that and can't do that. Huh???? Since when??? I do it all the time as a best practice to make sure no errors are incurred during the stay. 4. At checkout at 6:10am, I asked the Front Desk where the $10 food daily credit was on the bill. Scratching her head .... she has no clue and never heard of it. I tell my wife, let us go before I lose my temper this early in the morning. What a total disaster that was. 5. No more Courtyard Marriott brand for us. Hopefully the JW Marriott, Residence Inn and Autograph hotels we use, don't follow suit in this "best practice of theirs"."
"Wonderful stay at this location in downtown Reno, right on the banks of the Truckee River! The hotel features a restaurant with bar, and wonderful options to dine in. The rooms are spacious and features in room coffee maker, excellent work desk, 55 inch LED TV and USB charging ports. A few blocks down the street are the casinos thus give them a try next time you are in Reno!"
"Bathroom was clean, but in need of maintenance. Climate controls could use some work also - mine was constantly cycling and blowing more cold than warm. This place is right across from the ballpark and walking distance from a couple of casinos. The Mellow Fellow next door is worth the visit."
"What a wonderful property! Our room was right above the Truckee River, and each morning we watched the ducks below our 2nd floor window. Parking for check-in is tight, but there is a large, free parking garage adjacent. They have a bistro cafe' in-house, which we did not use, but the reviews were good. Staff was wonderful, and the room very clean and spacious, as one would expect. We chose the king, and there was a comfortable loveseat with footstool. Cozy for two. One more thing: most hotels have shower handles one has to spin to adjust temperature, and no way to adjust temperature. The shower had a clear glass door, adjustable shower handle, and a 3" shower head for plenty of pressure, if you want. AND, the handle was set back 3-4' so you could turn it on without getting wet - a feature my wife, with her beautiful hair, loved! The designer had stayed in a few hotels! One more important feature - there is no smoking in this facility. WONDERFUL!!!"
"Situated right across the street from the ballpark and on the banks of the Truckee River, it's a few blocks away from downtown Reno. It's a small triangular hotel with a very tight entrance to the front lobby reception area. Upon our arrival, the receptionist was away from the desk and we were poorly greeted when she did come back. When she saw our status, her demeanor changed for the better. The suite we were upgraded to had plenty of space and the bed was very comfortable. Can't say anything lovely about the view out of our window as it faced the parking garage. Housekeeping didn't come while we were there for two nights, but that's ok. We didn't need it. There is a bistro downstairs to buy breakfast. The barista did a fabulous job making a hot chocolate to my liking. Overall, we were there to sleep and shower. The room was clean and had all the amenities needed. A parking garage was close enough to transport luggage to and from. There was a little cafe for food. Serves its purpose."
