Sierra Inn

"We stayed here last August just as renovations were a good way through. We had a nice time, it's quiet and clean and the area is beautiful. However the beds were so soft and broken down that would keep us from ever staying again. We dreaded sleeping on them. There's also not much around for food so you'll have to bring your own non perishables or plan on driving into Tahoe for meals. Otherwise the staff were very friendly and again, the location is gorgeous."

"Let me start this off by saying I'm giving 5 start because 10 isn't an option! Me and my wife stopped here as we were snowboarding at Sierra at tahoe, this is a beautiful small hotel within a very reasonable driving distance from the resort. This was one of the best choices we ever made on picking a new spot!!! When we first got there we were greeted by the manager, Chris. He was nothing but the best, gave excellent recommendations about what is local, and what's good farther away! The service at that place was more than anything you will ever findin the bay area, it's a small "family vibe" place, I 100% recommend this place, in fact we are already booking for our next trip! The loction it's at is perfect, we got room #9, on the end of the building, bottom floor, located next to the river and a huge fire pit outside!! It's literally the perfect location as you can see in the pictures! We were lucky enough to meet the owner as well as the crew, there an amazing team and very passionate about the work they do there. The rooms are really nice, everything in there is brand new, there tv with cable. Very peacefully stay, amazing staff!! I am looking forward to coming back with the family!"

"We were very pleased with our stay at Sierra Inn. The rooms were newly upgraded and they were impeccably clean. The river is right there, and it was nireally relaxing to just sit by the river and have wine with our family, which BTW the wine was supplied by Sierra Inn. They also had bonus breakfast muffins and were super generoud with bottled water and anything else we could ask for. This is a high service, quality place for a great price. We skied Sierra at Tahoe and were happy with the mountain (much less crowded as the big resorts with plenty of slopes for even us kinda-block-diamond-skiers). And Moon's is only a mile away and you can't beat the friendly food there. We will be back!"

"Impressive. I would like to thank the owner Craig, the manager Chris, John, and Oscar for making our trip here so great. I've never had a staff so attentive to all of our needs. Wonderful group of people, top of the line customer service and always smiling. Our room was very clean, modernized and cozy. I will stay here every trip my wife and I take to Sierra ski resort to snowboard. Perfect location like 20 minutes away. We had the pleasure of the beautiful river front view. Thanks again guys!"

"We found this well-placed hotel a year ago and had such a wonderful experience that we brought the family back again this ski season. It is even better this year, with all the remodeling the new owners have done. The parking lot and roof are brand new. We had three rooms and all of them had been completely renovated - I especially loved the ceiling mounted showerheads. They were installing electric heaters in the stairs, which is a great idea to keep the ice off. The location is ideal - a short drive to the ski areas, but closer to Sacramento and the Bay Area. Saves us an hour each way, which is key for me because I am the driver and am usually tired from skiing all day. But the best thing about this place are the owners. Craig and Amber are wonderful hosts. They are friendly and generous and we could tell they genuinely wanted us have a comfortable stay. Last but not least, the price is right, especially compared to Tahoe hotels."
