"The selection of food was amazing from poke to Adobe chicken we followed our walking guide TJ from Hawaiian Food Tour off the beaten path, we sampled foods from these vendors and went downstairs to sample fruits I had never tried before. Great place to find good selection. They are working on adding more vendors which will only improve your selection. Enjoy!"
"Maunakea Marketplace is a small fascinating, tightly compressed market of Mom and Pop Chinese businesses clustered together in central Chinatown. There are clothing (T-shirt stores), restaurants, and gift vendors all neatly fused together into a small city block. But, it works. It's like entering a very small world of even more Chinese stores. It's a very small marketplace nestled and squeezed within the larger Chinatown complex. It's wonderful. Please check it out. There are three entryways / exits to and from this small vibrant market. But, be vigilant. It's very easy to bypass this remarkable market."
"In the heart of China Town with many shops and novelty retailer's you may find something to cherish for many years to come. In addition, throughout the mall situated among these shops are eateries serving many Asian authentic dishes to taste and enjoy while visiting this cultural landmark on this special tour your visit brings. This place kind of reminds me of another Chinatown located on the main land in Los Angeles, CA."
"Great spot to sample all types of Asian food."
"I’m not sure what we expected when we came here, however, to say it did not meet expectations would be an understatement. We walked around to see if there was anything interesting, but sadly it didn’t appear there was anything we wanted to get. My father-in-law wanted to buy a Hawaiian shirt, but I’m not sure how that conversation went considering he doesn’t speak English. We took some pictures, browsed a bit more and left after 15 minutes."
