"Wish I could give it more than five stars. The views and atmosphere are the best here. My wife and I came here for my 50th birthday and had the best experience ever. All the staff are great. Our server Josh was on point. He suggested some of the best drinks on the menu. We had french onion soup and fresh oysters for an appetizers. We had the ribeye dinner for 2, and it was perfect. I highly recommend this place. Make sure Josh is your server."
"I ordered the premium wine pairing and tasting menu. The presentation was excellent of the first course, amuzebuush. I could have used a fourth cracker to. The wine pairing came after the dish which was a little disappointing and did not pair well. Next item was the french onion soup which was excellent presentation and taste with an excellent wine pairing. Taste was very rich together they are an exquisite pairing. The next pairing took a while to prepare but it gave me time to cleanse the pallet. Rose wine with a cezar salad. Although it did take a little long for salad to be prepared... they did make in front of me, which was a delight. John the GM prepared it. The Sorbet for pallet cleanse was very light and refreshing. Sadly, the steak wasn't tender, and I ran out of water for about 10 minutes. The wine pairing was fantastic with the desert, a rasberry ice cream with chocolate cake. The wine was to tart, I would have liked to had a port wine. Overall I would defiantly recommend this venue"
"Just finished our dinner at Michels, wonderful food, very attentive staff, and amazing views. I honestly want to call out everyone who gave them a bad review. The food isn’t overpriced (hello, you actively sought out this fine dining establishment, don’t be shocked at the sticker price. Do better or glance at the online menu before you book it) You’re on vacation, don’t be cheap especially to yourself. Moving on, to everyone that was expecting to be sat next to the window, grow up, the world doesn’t revolve around you (huge window, not really a bad view) ALL TABLES ARE FACING THE WATER. Portion sizes are fine for what you’d expect at a fine dining establishment (to everyone that complained about the lobster, go eat at McDonald’s) are you really expecting a pound of lobster in a soup in $19 soup? The only downfall was not trying the bananas foster as we were too full. Would recommend to everyone. On a last note, to the gentleman who said you can die from undercooked filet, you are wrong. One more thing, you don’t need to book this restaurant months in advance. I booked the 5:30 PM reservation for tonight at 9 AM this morning. The view is from those horrible tables in the back everyone was talking about. Love this restaurant and I can’t wait to go back"
"Food, service, location...all impeccable. Outstanding attention from Stuart. Amazing all around. Arrived 5 pm to have a table at the front/beach side. Took about an hour for the sun to go down - recommend sunglasses and sunscreen. But what an incredible sunset viewed. Filet & lobster, ribeye, French onion soup with a delicate pastry, bananas foster show to top it off. Also received a special Anniversary dessert especially prepared by the chef. Would definitely return when back on the island."
"I had dinner at Michel’s and ordered the escargot and the course menu with the premium wine pairing. I had to add the escargot. The food was exquisite, the service was spot on (had Spencer) and the view was to die for. I’ve eaten at almost every restaurant in Waikiki and Michel’s really impressed me. Everything was delicious but my favorites were the table side Caesar and the filet. Will absolutely be back again."
