"Having worked in retail in the past, it was a very pleasant experience this last time I was in (12/13 mid day). I absolutely LOVE what you've done with the ceiling! Feels more Hawaiian and makes the store feel more welcoming. The girls behind the counter were friendly and helpful and seemed like the kind of employees any retailer would be lucky to have. Place looked great and just wanted to pass that along."

"I have a medical condition constituting a state of Hawaii mask exemption per the governor’s emergency order and also in accordance with the CDC’s stricter exemption policy. This was the first time in Hawaii that I was not served /not allowed to patronize the business after politely saying I have an exemption, and having the exemption decree and the note from my doctor at-hand to show in case asked. Despite this, the manager who was working said it’s their policy and did not provide any alternative accommodation. After politely asking for confirmation if their store policy goes against their own state’s emergency declaration, they reiterated they’d have to check with their “higher ups” but asked me to leave. I wasn’t going to fight them on it because I didn’t want to make a scene and after being treated that way I didn’t want to patronize a business with that level of ignorance, intolerance, and discrimination."

"I have been in retail management for 18 years and I know a great environment and staff when I see one. And people never get enough good reviews for a passionate job well done. Please make sure this store and especially Uncle Villy get the kudos they deserve. He was so informative and genuinely happy to be doing what he was doing. "Hadn’t even gotten in the door and the “greeter” started barking at me about my mask not being all the way on. Holy cow! Give a guy a chance and quit being overly worried about a COVID free visitor looking to spend money in your business! For crying out loud, do they have any idea the hoops you have to go through just to be allowed onto the island! Trust me, we are all COVID free, so treat us with a little kindness! Remember YOUR saying, “Share aloha” and your business will probably do a little better by having a paying customer actually spend a little in your place of business. Needless to say, we bought nothing and purchased at a place that actually lived “aloha”!!"
