"Gorgeous! Bring your snorkel gear and hope for better visibility than I had today!! The climb down is behind the fence in the back of the private parking lot (near spots 168). You will need to park in the public lot which only has about 8 spots. Absolutely worth it to hike down the steep stairs/tree roots, but it's not for the faint of heart. Today I saw turtles, giant waves, plenty of jungle fowl, so many fish, and the beautiful sun. Not ideal for swimming but doable; excellent for snorkeling."
"Strenuous rope assisted climb up and down mud stairs as advertised to a small trail to a small beach, which i photographed :-)...the larger part hideaway...is inaccessible part of the year and during Anything but low tide in February. Parking: There is an 8 Space dedicated parking lot of the road"
"This is truly a hidden gem in the north shore of Kauai. We arrived around noon and was lucky to find parking in the free public parking lot. As others have pointed out, there were fewer than 10 spots, so whether you can get one really depends on luck. The trail to the beach was steep, but you can hang on to the ropes. It takes about 15 min, so if the weather condition is nice and if you wear proper shoes, you should be fine. The climb up and down is half of the fun and the view was absolutely worth it. Since the beach faces the north, it gets dark early in the afternoon, so I'd recommend visiting this beach first and save the Puu Poa Beach for the afternoon sunset."
"One of my favorite beaches I’ve visited! Limited parking available so go early in the day if possible! Be careful, the hike down and back up is steep, and as always, be aware of how the tide is! You can snorkel here, the waves do get pretty big though so just be aware of that. When I went we saw at least two turtles, a very cute hidden gem.. a lot of reef to see, so be aware and don’t step on it like all the signs say.. protect the reef!"
"hideaway is an amazing beach, trail is a bit steep but ropes help get up & down. water was clear calm and warm when i was there, I ♥️ this beach."
