""Uncle Greg" the owner is super friendly and has been amazing to the community based on the story in the front of the menu. The ambiance is great and the setting right on the beach with all the open windows is perfect. The food isn't anything spectacular if I'm being honest, but not a single restaurant on the island so far has impressed me with amazing food, but this place has a great vibe and was very enjoyable. We came back a second time during our trip because we enjoyed it so much."

"We went last night as we have been to the property multiple times over the years. However, we had never been to it as Opakapaka Grill. We loved it—the ocean view is perfect and last night included the rising full moon. The staff was so friendly and the duo for entertainment was so enjoyable. Oh yes, and the food—loved the poke, Brie, and and seafood chowder. Thankfully we’re on Kauai for another week so that we can go back and enjoy again!"
"Great food (fish and chips, fish sandwich, quesadillas, and fried rice. Kids had a cheeseburger, grilled shrimp, and chicken tenders). This place is located in a very scenic part of the island and about 20 minutes or so from Princeville. Would definitely return!"
"The food was just ok but really overpriced. I got the opakapaka and the fish was over cooked. Our server wasn’t the greatest either. He wouldn’t write down our order so of course we had to repeat ourselves and then he forgot to bring out the salad. He was nice, other than not responding each time I said thank you (pet peeve of mine), he just had a poor memory. Beautiful view though."
