"It’s a wide spot on the highway to pull over and look out at the vastness of the big blue ocean and spot whales if in season. Normally you wouldn’t think anything of it and might easily drive right by, but our 15 minute stop resulted in seeing many whale spouts, a full breach, and a long vertical tailing. Also was my first reminder that I forgot my binoculars on this trip."

"Coming from a New Hampshirite from Mainland US, this is just amazing. The views are breathtaking. Come during the day when it's sunny, and it's just beautiful, but come during the night time when it's dark, like completely dark with no clouds and you will be BLOWN away by the amount of stars. Even the Milky Way can be faintly visible to the naked eye this way. If you plan on driving here at night, bring a tripod, a camera (ensure it's a DSLR or SLR) or phone, and download the sky guide app that'll show you where the Milky Way is. For cameras such as DSLR's or SLR's, put your F stop to the smallest number (e.g f4.0), ISO800 or above, Manual focus (zoom in and manually focus on a star), and set the timer, like 30 seconds. For phones, your phone should have a night mode automatically on. Samsung S23 Ultra users download Pro Raw, set Focus to 0.7-0.9, ISO800, 15MP lens, Whitebalance auto, EV auto. Enjoy!"
