"This Izakaya offers a wide variety of dishes, ensuring you'll definitely find something on the menu that you'll enjoy. We visited on a busy day, and unfortunately, we weren't pleased with the service. We ordered Tuna Katsu, Mini Ramen, and Mauna Kea Roll. The Mini Ramen is a perfect portion size if you prefer enjoying the broth with noodles, though it comes with a small piece of meat, just for your information. The roll was good; I liked it. As for the Tuna Katsu, we were curious to try it, but we still prefer pork or chicken Katsu."
"Great sushi, ramen, and other Japanese dishes. Alcohol options as well. Everything was fresh and flavorful. It gets busy so make reservations or plan to wait."
"Stopped by on a whim after long day of flying as it was near a shopping area. Sat down about an hour before they close and they were already pretty busy but food came out quickly and was delicious. A mini ramen size was perfect to go along with a roll. The spicy tan tan ramen and volcano roll were terrific."
"We came at 11am on a Friday and there was no wait, got a table right away. Good waitress promptly brought us water and menus. We ordered my favorite salmon skin salad, mini tonkotsu ramen ( which was devoured before a picture could be taken), ahi katsu on skewers, house salad and the matcha zenzai dessert. Everything was delicious. The salmon salad was larger than the house salad and topped higher with veg. I enjoyed it with Caesar dressing on the side. I didn’t want to share the dessert though. I love to chew the mochi balls and the green tea ice cream!"
"This place was our first meal on the Big Island. We ordered tuna tataki, furikake shrimp, spicy tuna roll, and volcano roll. The tuna tataki was out of this world. It was lightly seared with a drizzle of ponzu and crunchy slices of garlic. My partner and I easily could've eaten one order to ourselves. The furikake shrimp had a sweet creamy sauce drizzled on top and was perfectly fried (only 3 pictured cause I dug in before a photo, it comes with 5). The volcano and spicy tuna roll were good as well. Great place for sushi; quick and great service. They have a few 4 top tables and some 2 tops outside. Big parties may have to wait longer depending on how busy they are."
