"Wonderful food. I have enjoyed everything I have had. Husband loves to make a huge order and have pasteles for a couple of days."
"I've tried many variations of pasteles here but these are the best pasteles on Oahu!! (My daughter-in-law's father is Puerto Rican and makes some awesome ones too but can not get them all the time so we seek out where we can to get some.) So happy to find this place!! Love the black olives and types of meat they use. Definitely not stingy. It is take out only since no seating. Food is always fresh. Large quantity for the price. Pastele lumpias...don't forget these!! We got lumpias with rice and salad plate. Salad was so good too. The lumpias are so ONO!! Awesome!! Service...super awesome!! Little far from our Mililani Mauka where we live but so worth the trip!! Parking is a little tight but minor when you get the fantastic food!!"
"I am Puerto Rican born in my island raised and also cook and speak my language. This is definitely not the taste we use on our island. Most will judge without knowing but I can tell you go to Puerto Rico and taste our food. Taste is completely different. Pasteles are not made the way we make them in Puerto Rico and I can understand why. They foil them here and do not use the correct ingredients due to what they have here on the island. The taste is off, texture and color is also off. the seasoning is not near what some people say on the reviews. I was very disappointed that they call this place authentic when it's not. BTW, pastele stew is something they made here does not exist in PR. and we do not use black olives."
"Best pastele's on island, don't even play around! I suggest spicy! Get all the sides and of course lumpia! Call in advance to place your order is recommended. Do dinning dine, take away/take out only. So happy we have the pastele shop on island!!!"
"This is not a sitting restaurant. As far as we could see you can only order to go. Food was good and flavorful. Service was good. Parking is a bit tricky but manageable. Probably not a top 5 favorite but will definitely consider going back."
