The Terrace Hanalei (Upstairs)

"The view from here is gorgeous. The food is good, I had the chicken sandwich, the flavor was great but the bread was soggy from the glaze. The service was ok, we were a party of 4 (2 couples) and up front indicated which of us were together however they said they don't split checks. I get that for a big group but it would just have been 2 checks. When the food was brought out 3 of the meals all came out together however the last meal didn't come out until 5 minutes later which was a bit awkward."

"Highly recommend this place!! All dishes had super fresh seafood and the service was great not to mention a great value for the food. Fish and Chips were 10 times better than The Dolphin at a fraction of the cost. Salmon bowl had a sizable portion of salmon with great flavors. Best sushi roll we’ve ever had. Overall best restaurant we went to in Hanalei."

"We had a fun time at The Terrace. The staff was friendly and kindly sat us by the open windows so we had a great view of the mountains at sunset. The drinks (Thai Mai Bikini) were good. The enjoyed the calamari, and our dinner was decent. One negative thing i would say is although the Short Rib sandwich was good there was no way anyone could bite through the meat. A knife and fork was mandatory. Might be better served as an open-faced sandwich. Other than tgat we enjoyed our visit."

"Finally another good restaurant. Only found a handful of restaurants with good food from all the places we ate at, and this was on the top of our list. The seafood linguini was delicious and the broth was so flavourful. All the seafood was tender and cooked to perfection as well as the Salmon bowl and calamari. My only regret is I couldn't fit desert."

"We visited the terrace twice in a week and had a mixed experience. We went there the first time and enjoyed our meal even though the service was slow due to understaffing. We went a second time within the same week and there was shrinkflation since our previous visit. Both times, we ordered two of the same items: the fish and chips, and the terrace salad. After our food arrived, we asked about the kimchi included on the menu with the fish and chips. We were informed that the fish and chips no longer came with it, and the menu wasn’t up to date. In addition, the terrace salad came with one half of a heart of romaine, rather than the full heart we got the first time, for the same price of $17!! They don't add much except for some tiny cubed tomatoes, avocado, olives and cheese. However, up the road you can get a romaine heart for $4 at the Foodland. We spent over $250 for two people at this restaurant and left deflated because we felt cheated, compared to our first encounter.
