"If you're looking for the best fish and chips on the island, look no further than The Hanalei Gourmet. It's a laid back atmosphere, with a great bar, lovely service, and super fresh food. It's one of my favorite spots on the North Shore. Don't walk past this one, it's definitely worth a stop! And don't miss Happy Hour from 5-7 pm!"

"We visited here for dinner, we waited about 15 minutes around 6:45 pm on a Tuesday. I recommend having a beer, I enjoyed a big swell IPA on tap prior to the meal. My husband and I share the burger, we asked for a fried egg on top and that enhanced it. I loved the burger after having that beer, while my husband who did not have beer said it was decent. My parents had the fish tacos and they were happy with that. We also had the Kauai pie, which was good."

"Really good place. We sat at the bar. Bartender was very friendly and attentive. I had one Bikini Blonde beer and it was very tasty. Then the Bartender made me a lemonade alcohol drink. It was delicious and perfectly balanced. I ended up having 2. Lunch was good. Dont recall the name of my sandwich, but it was perfect size and tasted good. Just visiting, but I'd definitely come back if I return to town."

"Great food and service! I took my family here on a whim because my grandma wanted a fish sandwich for lunch. We waited half an hour and it was well worth it. Our waitress was delightfully conversational, and even appeared to be proud of the food. The fish and veggies taste fresh, and the fries are the crispy breaded kind. We later came to find out that our waitress is the daughter of the owner. Well, this is a great family establishment that we are looking forward to coming back to!"
