"Always fair and good work! I'm really happy an old fashioned garage that cares about the customer still exists. Thanks Frank, Lonnie and the guys, for the service you provide!"
"I wish I could give zero stars... Bought a car, prior owner had transmission replaced here but lost receipt. I got a copy from Franks, where I was told it had a mileage warranty and wouldn't have issues even though I wasn't the name on receipt. Ha! After 10,200mi (13 months), it won't come out of 1st gear and moves like it slipped. After over a week of him "researching where we got the transmission" he says warranty is already up as of last month and not our problem. After we looked at it, they used a smaller transmission than it came with and they dropped it inside the old case so it held it better, missing all bolts except 1 (which was about half the length as should've been used anyways!)! I'm lucky it broke when I parked it for winter and it didn't fall out while on highway! Zero help from franks, they wouldn't even look at it! Recommendation: 0/10"
"I highly recommend Frank's shop for the reasons below. We came to Fallon to visit our son for a few days. When we arrived, our water pump was making noise and leaking coolant - not good in the desert in August! Before calling repair shops, I looked online to see what's involved in replacing a water pump on a 2012 Toyota Highlander. I've changed a few water pumps in my 50 years of driving, so I figured it's not a big deal. I was surprised at what it takes to do this job! Everything is so crammed into the engine compartment that it's a rather complex job. A Google search showed estimates of up to $900 for a mechanic to do the work. Yikes! Things aren't as simple and cheap as they used to be! I called around town to shops recommended by friends in town. Everyone was booked two weeks out, including Frank's. Cathy, who answered the phone, sounded sincerely sorry they didn't have an earlier appointment since we're here from out of town. I asked if I could bring it in anyway and leave it with them and we'd have our son pick it up when it's done. She said sure, and if they have a chance to work on it sooner, they would, but she couldn't promise it would be done before we planned to leave town. I figured we'd borrow our son's second car and return it on our next visit. Not ideal, since we live several hours away, but doable. I took the car in and Cathy wasn't there. I figured she's out to lunch, but then I learned that it was her birthday and Frank had given her the rest of the day off to be with her family. So Frank was covering the front desk. When I told him the situation, he also didn't make any promises, but I could tell he really wanted to help us out. We chatted for a little while, and he talked about when he ran the junior racing program at the local drag strip. From the photos and awards on the wall, I could tell this business has a long history in this town. Long story short, the work was completed the day before we planned to leave town, and the bill was considerably lower than I expected - a double win! Frank and his crew took wonderful care of us and our car. They're professional and are the kind of people I'd want to be friends with. Pros: Quality, Fair pricing, Professional, Friendly Cons: Too far from our home to be our regular mechanic"
"Taken my Dodge truck here a few times. Always great service and quality work. Great to find an honest reliable mechanic. I will be coming back for sure. Thanks Frank! 2018 Update: Going on 2 years strong. Have been bringing my other cars here too. I love this place. Honest and fair pricing. You definitely can't go wrong here. Highly recommended!"
