"I recently took ten dress shirts to pilgrim dry cleaners and was shocked at the price when I went to pick them up. They did not offer me a receipt so I have no idea what I was charged for but $120 for 10 shirts seems like a lot to me. Edit: thanks for the response stating that you were following the care instructions on my shirts but I find it hard to believe that cotton is a “specialty care” item and in fact most other dry cleaners recommend laundering cotton shirts. Here is a quote from another dry cleaners website, “Very few people know this but the typical dress shirt is not dry cleaned, it is laundered. The reason for this is that most dress shirts are made from cotton, which responds best to cleaning in water. Fortunately, our laundry service is equally as good as our dry cleaning service.” Thank you for charging three times as much for what should have been a $40 bill. Also interesting that none of your pricing is on your website"

"Really enjoyed having a dry cleaner next door to my home, I’ve used them several times for suits which was never over $25. but the pricing here is ridiculously expensive and unreasonable. $38 for four neck ties to be cleaned. When I saw the price come through on my confirmation I couldn’t help but be offended. Positive about this place is the staff, after chatting with Tiera, she was able to help me reduce this crazy cost down. Lesson learned, I’ll dry a mile down the road to have my clothes taken care of, where the prices ARE UP FRONT AND AVAILABLE TO SEE and are not RIDICULOUSLY HIGH ! Thank you for your kindness Tiera, (sorry if I didn’t spell you name correctly) won’t be using Pilgrims drying cleaning again!!!!"

"Honestly the biggest rip off in the Twin Cities: It's the most convenient dry cleaning location for me, but I will not be returning. The only reason I'm not rating Pilgrim one star is because when I picked up my 2 items (total = nearly $60!), the associate working was pleasant, professional, and understanding (I wish I'd caught their name so I could ask management to give them a shoutout for their service). They did their best to bring the absurd pricing down with a coupon, as they felt bad knowing I hadn't been quoted for any of my order..let alone informed that the hood of my jacket would cost me an extra $4. On top of their rip-off pricing (next section), my garments came back slightly damp, so I'm not even sure what paying these sky-high prices get you. Beware: Pilgrim doesn't even post prices anywhere (in store, online), making it easier for them to nickle and dime you, which based off my first and last experience, they'll definitely do. I had to request a pricing breakdown after the fact. After some research, I found their pricing to be at least $2-10 higher per garment than prices posted on the websites of comparable dry cleaners in the area (Mulberry's, for example), and my guess is this difference is greater for dry cleaners without sites. Since I don't have the time to haggle with a dry cleaner in order to pay just a reasonable price for services, I'm going to find a new dry cleaner.. one who posts prices and doesn't have hidden fees."

"I dropped off a number of items and asked the employee for an estimate. He called me a few minutes later to give an updated rate to make sure I didn't have sticker shock at pickup. A much appreciated heads up! Happy with the cleaning too."
