"Lenny Sue and Ashley are both talented and skilled women in the midwifery trade. Lenny Sue is passionate about staying up to date on all new information and has willingness to read the academic papers, so her patients don't have to. Paired with her decades of experience, it's natural to trust her both in the office and during labor. She is honest, consent based, and prepared to explain everything as unbiased as humanly possible. Ashley was the midwife attending most of my labor and she was highly competent, honest, and able to push me through labor even as a first time mom whose labor was fairly slow in progressing. Specializing in homebirth does not mean that they come without the tools necessary to assist and progress labor. Ashley has many hands on and proactive skills that she has available to her and she knows exactly when to use them. All of them are intuitive, noninvasive, and just the right amounts of effective and subtle. My water had broken ~20 hours before actually meeting my baby and Ashley was cautious, confident, and capable of working with me to make sure both baby and I were healthy and able to birth at home. Both Lenny Sue and Ashley both bring an air of stillness, competence, and trust to the labor experience that really is unexplainable and otherworldly. I could not recommend Alpine Midwifery more."
