"I had a 60 min massage with Karl and it was the stuff of dreams. I have extremely painful knots in my upper body from an illness, and Karl made sure to first ask me questions and listen to me before starting to work on my shoulders. To me, spending an hour with Karl was as valuable, if not more, than the time I spend with many medical practitioners, as he made the effort to listen to me, see how my symptoms and pain were connected and focused on how to alleviate that pain. He even spent time after our appointment suggesting stretches and exercises I could do to prevent the knots from forming! 11/10, I am literally trying to go again tomorrow!"

In the session, Karl worked patiently to find the hurt areas on my body and cared for them until they remembered what it was like to feel good again - his phrase, not mine. "Birdsong Clinic is an amazing place to visit if you are in the Gualala area. The owner, Melinda, is a very kind, skilled, and intuitive Traditional Chinese Medicine Practioner and Acupuncturist. She is very gentle and even though I have sensitive skin, I feel no pain from her application of acupuncture. She is attentive and grounded which is great for both a TCM practitioner and an acupuncturist. Birdsong Clinic also carries quality tea and herbal incense. I use the incense I got from the clinic almost every day, and when I still drank caffeine, I loved the tea! Very good as an addition to any practice of relaxation, including meditation, qi gong, and yoga.The Oolong made a true lifelong fan of my husband! Great people and a great place."
