"I went to Dr. Melhuish for lower foot pain. After waiting in a room for 30 minutes she finally walks. Does not even go over my X-rays and immediately starts selling me shoe inserts cost over $600 and then a topical cream that was almost $200 a tube. She appeared is a big hurry talking a mile a minute and then leaves. There was no diagnosis or discussion on treatment alternatives. Of course everything she was recommending was not covered by insurance and payment was required immediately. I opted to wait and think about it and never got a follow up phone call. I ended up going to Great Basin orthopedics and got a great orthopedic Dr. Shaw. He gave me a diagnosis of a nueroma and went over the X-rays in detail. He gave me a cortisone injection which completely alleviated the sharp pain I was experiencing. He also gave me an exercise routine and referred me for shoe inserts which were specifically molded for my particular issue. He also scheduled a follow up appointment. The treatment was far superior and I would stay clear of Dr. Melhuish. We felt like we were being scammed and rushed. Beware and avoid this place."
