"We love the staff at West Flamingo Animal Hospital. Very professional, experienced, thorough and compassionate."
"Went to this vet for several years and saw multiple vets at this clinic. We switched vets in 2021 after I felt I was not getting answers. In late 2019 early 2020 I was told by the 3rd vet at west flamingo we had seen that my cat had a possible polyp in his nose. We were never offered skull X-rays or anything to verify what was in his nose. After waiting for 4yrs and going to a total of 9 vets yesterday 2-15-24 my cat was finally offered the skull X-rays he needed. Due to the constant misdiagnosis from west flamingo vet as well as Dewey Vet and the 2 vets in my current city he was diagnosed with a tumor that has been growing in his nasal cavity for the last 4yrs and is now inoperable. Had people done their job at this vet and not just tried to tell me to get a humidifier, get rid of my air freshener and stuff him full of antibiotics treating it as an upper respiratory infection we could have caught it sooner and he would have lived longer. I would not recommend this vet. You don't even see the same vet here consecutively!!! I saw 6 different vets just at this clinic! Insane!"
"We've now had two of our canine family members taken care of by the team at West Flamingo from puppy stage to end of life, for a period of close to 30 years. Our most recent dog, Gianna, had health issues since she was a puppy, and we weren't sure how long she would be a part of our family. She passed away last month at 13&1/2 years (which is incredible for a long-haired German Shepherd), thanks to the care she received from Dr. Yach and his team. They are like family to us! We're not quite ready for another puppy yet, but when we are, it's nice to know we have a family to go back to. In the meantime, they will be missed."
"New client here! Took my dog Dawson in after our regulars groomer retired from a different animal hospital, he has to be sedated for grooming...sweet dog but just does not like grooming...the staff was SO helpful and kind both of the female Doctors we met with were very knowledgeable and helpful (sorry I cannot remember their names but they were wonderful) they offered several ideas to assist us with the grooming process, day of was a breeze Hailey the groomer was so helpful and friendly you can tell she cares about all the dogs she grooms, she took her time and worked with the Drs to help sedate him and were able to give him a full groom and he was feeling GREAT when we picked him up! I never felt like I was being nickel and dimed, the pricing is competitive and they never tried to up sale me or pressure me into unnecessary services which has happened to me in the past at other Animal Hospital's, I will absoluteley be retuning with both of my dogs in the future!"
"There is only one Dr. that I didn't care for. Dr. Arnold would not hospitalize my cat. She wasn't eating, drinking. She peed on herself and was vomiting. It seemed like she was out of it. I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Yach a week later. I didn't even have to ask for hospitalization. He told me to hospitalize her. I was glad! A week wasted. Who knows if my cat would have died anyway. It was extremely sad and heartbreaking. We know our animals. Anything, at age 17+ years young, that is different is cause for concern. My cat was caterwauling and losing weight. I knew there was something wrong with her. Dr. Arnold told me that many cats caterwaul. I've had cats for 50+ years and I worked at animal hospitals. Never had come across any caterwauling cat! The staff is excellent! All the other vets there I highly commend and recommend. Very clean and fresh up front and in the rooms, always."
