Reviews
"I have 2 kids who started New Horizons Preschool about a year and a half ago. I cannot express how much I love their school and faculty. Each teacher I ever met here has been more than welcoming and almost 2 years later this has never changed. My children love their teachers and are always so excited to tell me what they did that day when I pick them up. Any accident to have happened even minor ones they will text me as soon as possible. Gina told me when I first toured the school she protects and loves these kids as if they are her own she stands by that word. I have never had a negative thought about New Horizons Preschool and I don't think I ever will. I will be heartbroken when my kids age out of here because of all the relationships we have developed here."
"Miss Saraí was my child’s first teacher, she always made me feel very comfortable, I always felt like he was in good hands and never had to worry about anything. My experience with her was 10/10 she makes kids feel special and loved. I will always be thankful for everything she taught my son."
"My daughter has been going to New Horizon for about 2yrs now. All the teachers have been awesome, very gentle and charismatic, they treat them like their own. Allison and Gina the director are always very understanding. I moved across town and still go out my way to bring my daughter. It’s worth it! They care about early learning and have taught my daughter at an early age all her learning development needs. Her new Teacher this year is Mark, my daughter runs to his class everyday, he is a calm patient teacher. I love this school! Bobbi T."
"My experience with the office manager at New Horizon Preschool left me deeply disappointed and concerned. It's crucial to share this experience to shed light on the treatment my family received and to advocate for a more understanding and compassionate approach to dealing with children, especially those who are new to the school system. My son, had just started at New Horizon Preschool, and like any child new to school, he was in the process of adjusting to this unfamiliar environment. However, our experience with the office manager was nothing short of distressing. Only three days after enrolling our son at the preschool, the office manager informed my wife that she wanted him out of the school. This abrupt decision took us by surprise and left us in disbelief. We expected that the school would provide a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for children, especially newcomers, to ease their transition into the school system. Unfortunately, this was not the case. What was particularly troubling was the office manager's lack of patience and understanding. She made statements to my wife, suggesting that she had "never seen a kid that acts this way." This judgmental remark was not only unprofessional but also deeply hurtful. It failed to take into account that my son was entirely new to the school environment and needed time to adapt. It's essential for educators and school staff to recognize that every child has a unique adjustment process, and it's their responsibility to support and guide them through it. Moreover, the office manager attempted to attribute statements to me that I had never made. This tactic was not only misleading but also an unfair attempt to paint me in a negative light. It's essential that school staff maintain professionalism and integrity in their interactions with parents, as trust is a fundamental element of the parent-school relationship. Imy experience with the office manager at New Horizon Preschool was disappointing and disheartening. We believe that every child deserves a fair chance to adjust to the school environment, especially when it's their first experience with formal education. Abrupt decisions and judgmental remarks are not conducive to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. I hope that this review will encourage New Horizon Preschool to reconsider its approach to handling children's adjustments to school and to promote a more understanding and compassionate atmosphere for all students and their families."
"I enrolled my son, in [New Horizons] Preschool with high hopes and expectations for a positive and nurturing learning environment. Unfortunately, his brief experience at the school left us deeply disappointed because he wasn’t giving a chance to adjust to change. From the very first day, it was clear that the school's staff lacked the professionalism and warmth we had anticipated. When my son entered the classroom, he was not greeted or welcomed by the teacher. There was no effort made to introduce him to the class or to facilitate introductions among the children. This lack of a warm and inclusive welcome on his first day was disheartening. Even more concerning was the teacher's attitude and approach towards the children. It was evident that she lacked enthusiasm for her role in shaping young minds. She rarely smiled, and her interactions with the children felt rushed and uninterested. Instead of creating an environment where children felt encouraged and excited to participate their words were ( he doesn’t want to participate in any activity ) yet he’s new to all of this also when I stayed with him and his father on the first and third day he was participating because we led him. No one was leading in that class it felt like they were just keeping an eye on them it felt like it was a day care more than a preschool, it seemed like she just wanted to "get it over with." What bothered us the most was the school's hasty decision to remove my son from the program after only three days. As parents, we understand that every child has a unique adjustment process when starting school, especially if it's their first experience with formal education. We expected the school to be patient and understanding, providing the support necessary for my son to adapt to the new environment. Unfortunately, this was not the case. In conclusion, our experience with [New Horizons] Preschool was far from what we had hoped for our son's introduction to education. We believe that every child deserves a fair chance to adjust to the school environment, and the abrupt dismissal of my son denied him that opportunity. We hope that the school will consider reviewing its approach to ensure that all children, regardless of their prior school experience, are given the support and patience they need during their crucial early years of education. Overall, our experience at [New Horizons] Preschool was disappointing, and we hope that our feedback contributes to positive changes at the school to create a more nurturing and inclusive environment for all future students."
