Mike the owner has never perceived or said to pursue fly fishing is for the wealthy ONLY or it’s supposed to be dry fly ONLY. I am a blue collar worker and Veteran with a family. In no uncertain terms will I be wealthy or have been wealthy. He greats me with the same respect as wealthy customers. I have bought hundreds of dollars worth of nymph and streamer patterns , hundreds of dollars in tying materials for trout bass and pike and musky from Mends. Over the past 6 years He has plenty of variety of price range for fly rods and reels from Orvis Clearwater model to Winston A lot of his brand names like Lamson and simms have a low mid and high range price of equipment he carries them all or will get them for you. Of all my travels from the driftless to Montana to Florida I have never come across a fly shop owner like Mike the owner of Mends so enthusiastic over getting kids into fly fishing and fly tying My son loves to Fly fish and fly tying and thanks to Mike the owner of Mends great mentoring he will be able to pursue a lifetime activity Matthew Stanton you are what is wrong with today’s public media society."
