"What a cute local restaurant. The food was on point, consistent, and hot when we got it. It was exactly as expected. Severs were very pleasant and attentive to our table. The only issue we had was the gravy (on the biscuit) was too sweet for our liking, but this is simply a matter of preference. We highly recommend this restaurant and encourage you to give it a try. I recommend you get there early, this place was packed by 12:30pm."
"Eve's Eatery is a charming little restaurant a couple blocks away from the Capitol. They are open for breakfast and lunch. We had their grilled cheese/soup for lunch and it was excellent!"
"The restaurant looks great on the inside, a little niche modern joint. We were seated nearly immediately, and our order was taken shortly after. We then proceeded to wait an hour for the food, in which case there was a single refill of water offered to me. I ordered the Salmon Benedict. I tore into the egg and the first muffin without a problem. When I scooted the second muffin across the plate I noticed an oddly textured and colored item that crumbled apart had come off the bottom of the muffin. I thought "Maybe it is egg white" but when I tasted it, I tasted paper. Had the wife taste it, and we both concluded it was likely napkin of some sort. Sent it with the server back to the kitchen. The explanation I received was that it is not paper, but actually leftover egg whites from previous orders that are so overcooked that it has lost any flavor or ability to stay together. So either I was lied to and I was given napkins from God knows where, or even worse, there is some abhorrently disgusting pot that is being used to poach every order of benedict."
"What a phenomenal breakfast! I had the steak and eggs and omg it was fabulous. The potatoes were the true star, though. Steak wasn't cooked quite rare enough for me but it was still very tender. Service was great and the place is cute."
"The menu is unique and has so many good things to choose. We got French today, juevos rancheros, and steak and eggs. Everyone loved their meal. I especial liked the salsa and fresh Mexican cheese on my juevos rancheros. I’d probably order it again without the fried tortillas underneath it. Check out how pretty the French toast is. They were a bit short staffed but the service was fine. We’ll be back to try more of the fun menu items."
