"I'm not from here and I was looking for a good place for breakfast. The ratings for Heidi's were enough to get me in the front door. The food was amazing. The service was attentive, everything came to the table very quickly, hot and fresh. I highly recommend Heidi's!"

"One of the best breakfast experiences we've had in Carson Valley. The food we ordered was delicious. Decent prices and HUGE portions. The plates almost didn't fit on the table and they were loaded with food. We ordered a side of 2 pancakes and were so glad we did because we wouldn't have made it through a short stack. Props that the pancakes are actually dinner plate sized and a short stack here is 4 instead of your standard 2, and a regular stack has 6. Hubby said the Chilaquiles were delicious, and others must agree because we saw at least four other orders of them come out while we were there, and the restaurant wasn't very busy... maybe 7 tables had people at them when we arrived at 9am. Service was good and coffee cups were kept full. Already planning on bringing out of town guests here when they visit."

"We had breakfast, mine was excellent, the wife had chicken fried steak she said it was very good. So no complaints, a nice place for breakfast...e just had breakfast here again today, I had blueberry pancakes with blueberry compote and whipped cream and my wife had the chicken fried steak and eggs. My pancakes were tasty, I'm a pancakes with 3 cups of syrup guy, I'm happy. There was something off about the chicken fried steak, like it was cooked with something else and picked that flavor or the gravy was old, not sure. My wife only ate about half her breakfast and left the rest. We've eaten here before and everything thing was great..maybe just an off day, not sure.."

"I always struggle to comprehend the popularity of some restaurants, meal companions were great, but…. Had a half order of biscuits and gravy for 7.95? And it presented as (and tasted like) $3.50? Plate (smallest, loneliest, mushiest biscuit and the gravy? Ah, don’t bother..) Side of bacon? Was fair to good? (it’s bacon) Even glancing at companions meals (each about $14.00?) Looked Ok… But still don’t get it (the popularity)… Prob won’t be coming back here In my opinion, Cracker Barrel? (On 50) smokes this place….
