"Called me, set up my initial appointment caring about how anxious and scared I was about my diagnosis. I was seen the next day. My physician, nurse navigator, and Drs nurse spent a good amount of quality time with me and my family. Explained everything thoroughly and took care in the way I was talked to about my treatment plan. I felt like I mattered to them and wasn't just another number ."
"Dr. Graczyk and his team are wonderful! I felt they really cared about me and helped me understand what my options are. So thankful to have them as part of my care team."
"Dr. Nwaneri is amazing - he listened to me, took time with me, knew my journey and acknowledged my challenges. I like the approach he is taking and the "plan" we have in place."
"I called today about my upset with the lack of communication prior to and during chemo for my family member recently. I was called by the new Nurse Practitioner today. Instead of listening, I was told how right she was and basically taking no responsibility or concern for my upset. The topper is she told me "sorry, not sorry". That is a poor response to someone's upset. Honestly, Allina has NOT learned the most basic customer service and communication skills. For myself, I will be going through Fairview or any provider not associated with Allina . It's one thing to make a mistake but not to improve after multiple times with similar concerns of communication that is lacking...it is not ok!!"
"Institute Staff & Facilities were Amazing - modern, bright and clean! Wonderful Place, Nice Clean Building & Facilities, variety of Parking options including valet... CHECK IN: I believe that no matter where you are going in the building for your appt you need to check in at desk right as you walk into building. They verify name, appt, ID, insurance & etc. They weill direct you where to go. GI CLINIC (right across hall from check in counter): I visited the GI Clinic & had Wonderful experience with remarkable & caring staff that was also on time. Nice set up of tea/coffee/cocoa complete with styrofoam, mugs or real teacups with saucers. Nice touches always make these kind of visits less stressful. Lots of in clinic waiting room pamphlets on health issues, treatments & etc. More resources equals better info for you to make best choices and knowing about alternative treatment is a Real +. PARKING:There is a parking lot right on 26th with the building adjacent and it had optional valet service. Of course there is a cost for parking & valet services, unsure of costs (didn't see any info on parking validation anywhere in/around building). Also on street parking right in front of building on 26th but you do have to pay for on street parking, payment is made at a kiosk located near the space you occupy, check to see if any markings related to space/lot number when you park because machine may require it to pay. Additional lot just to west on 26th and north (right turn) at first corner and very quick right turn into a smaller lot which also costs. Pay attention to the lot space number you pull into which are painted on driveway right at entrance to the space (didn't see any markings on walls in front of spaces, that would be helpful). After you park you will need to go to pay machine just under the awning to building complex on south side out-of-doors, next to set of doors leading into I'm not sure where. Pay machine accepts credit cards & cash but does NOT give change if you pay cash. Keep ticket and place on dashboard to be safe from tickets. Parking cost for first 0-2 hours is $6. Another parking area is located one intersection past the Virginia Piper Institute building on right/north side of 26th, I believe it's called the "Green Lot." Unsure of parking costs at Green Ramp."
