"Lived here for two years. Pros: * Management and maintenance are proactive and responsive. They're also genuinely nice people. * Excellent heat insulation that will save $$ in the winter. Cons: * Construction Quality: The apartments are poorly built; therefore they frequently require repairs. Over my two years, I've submitted more than two dozen maintenance requests. The AC, fridge, dishwasher, washer, dryer, and ceiling fan have all experienced issues. * Hallway Conditions: The hallways lack AC, leading to an often unpleasant odor. The carpets are also not kept in the best condition (they're disgusting). * Safety Concerns: Even with occasional security from off-duty police officers, concerns persist. (Why does the building need assistance from off-duty officers in the first place? That is your clue.) My car's window was shattered while parked in the garage. * Neighbors: Resident etiquette leaves much to be desired. Despite being a non-smoking building, some choose to smoke even in the elevators. Yes, elevators do stink weed from time to time. * Elevator Availability: With three buildings and eight floors (including the garage) serviced by only two elevators, there are often long wait times. And that assumes that one of the elevators not being down or being used for moving. There is no service elevator. * Pool Area: The pool tends to be overcrowded, primarily because of the many "guests". This often results in excessive noise, diminishing the relaxing atmosphere. * Package Security: There's an insufficient number of Luxer boxes. This inadequacy often leads to packages being left out and, unfortunately, stolen. * Courtyard Cleanliness: There's a noticeable amount of dog excrement in the courtyard. Again, neighbors. I literally counted the days until I could leave, as the building's conditions deteriorated rapidly and severely. I'm immensely relieved to have moved out. I absolutely do not recommend living in this building. I wish the best to the management."
"If you're thinking about living here, don't. This place is awful, I will list my reasons for such a strong opinion below: • The main door to enter the building on Colfax has been broken for about 3 months at this point, in order to open it you have to time it just right. • The directory/call function at that same entrance has been broken for at least 9 months and probably longer. • The dog poop trashes usually devolve into a pile next to the trash can because the staff never empty them, it is a truly awful smell you have no idea. • The garden areas were literally all weeds until like mid-July, once some gardening was finally done it was nice for a couple weeks until the weeds grew back because no gardening maintenance was done. • If Amazon doesn't put your package in the locker it WILL get stolen. • Cops seem to be needed here every other weekend (this really isn’t management’s fault but its still a reason not to live here)."
"Just signed our renewal lease so we are in our second year here. The other night someone flooded their apartment above us causing a major leak into our apartment. Called the emergency maintenance and Josh the property manager came running over (literally) from his place. He figured out where the issue was with quick thinking and managed to do a quick fix. Within an hour (10 pm) he had a water restoration company out here looking at the damage and placing dryers in the apartment to help get rid of the moisture in the walls and ceilings. I have never been at a place where I had such a quick response. The whole team has done a wonderful job to get our apartment back in order."
"Love the miles. Amenities are great. Very easy to apply everything is done online. Just went there to pick up the keys. My leasing agent Thompson Sutton, thank you for your exceptional customer service. Keep it up!"
"The Good: Standard faux luxury, 5-over-1 living in a great location. Relative to similar properties in the area, apartments are spacious and cheap. Interior common spaces are kept fairly clean, and the amenities-- specifically the Sky Lounge, gym, and clubroom-- are nice to have. The Bad: Management is understaffed and inept. Any request you make typically requires several follow-ups before it's actually completed, if it's ever completed. Requests often need to be escalated to mythical Maintenance Supervisors and Ownership, who rarely seem to be in town or respond in a timely fashion. I have a broken exterior door that won't close all the way (a serious safety and security issue, mind you) that has had an open work order for more than a year. The "Smart Apartment" software framework, STRATIS, which The Miles touts as a major amenity, has never worked properly since I moved in, resulting in strange lighting behavior and limited HVAC control. Inconsistencies in billing or rent credits aren't uncommon, and it's like pulling teeth to get them corrected, since only one staff member is authorized to change billing items. I was even automatically enrolled in their in-house renters insurance, despite submitting proof of my own policy twice. The only reason I've rated this property 3 stars is because management was responsive when I moved in ~17 months ago. Quality has continued to decline since then, so grab a leasing special and hope your unit doesn't have any issues, or else find another place to rent."
