Deco 265 Apartments

"Avoid at all costs! Was one of the first tenants at this building and have since moved out. After doing a walk through with the property manager I was told I would have no charges and what do you know I had a cleaning fee even though I specifically asked whether I would be charge for one and was told no. When I got the invoice, it wasn’t even properly added up and said I lived at a different property and the contact person was someone I have never heard of. I have tried to get in contact with the property with no luck much like when I lived in the building, it is close to impossible. While living in the building, I also encountered harassment by the former property manager, loud and sometimes violent domestic incidents by other residents on the 4th floor, and constant weed smells. I also had an incorrect bill which took months to resolve and it was only resolved because I put up a Google review. The proposed rent increases after one year were also insane and they are currently trying to release it for less than what was proposed. Overpriced and terrible overall."

"Loud neighbors. Office staff did not care about nuisance lighting. No trash cans or clean up for dogs. They are charging astronomical prices for a fairly cheap area. You can get more space for similar prices elsewhere (nearby)."

"I have been renting here since the end of February and have had all good experiences. The property manager was flexible with showing me the place when I was moving in from out of state. He has also always been pleasant and helpful when my concerns and requests (i.e. reserving the community room (which you can do for free as a resident which is so helpful), unintended fees, understanding my balances). The building is diverse and I LOVE that. A big thing for me when moving was that I struggle with sound of neighbors and it is a very small percentage that I can say that I've ever heard my neighbors. The place is kept clean, has a good place to keep the bikes, take your dog out (plus good neighborhoods to walk around). About a mile from downtown Minneapolis and the North Loop and so close to other great parks. Overall very pleased with my experience - I've seen other reviews regarding the amount costs but honestly... not sure where they've all been looking because that is just the renting market we are in today, especially with the modern/luxury apartments such as this one."

"Would leave 0 if possible. Worst experience ever. They lied to me in writing, over the phone, and on their website about my potential lease. They then proceeded to waste hours of my time, misinforming me about tour times, taking me on an unnecessary tour I took time off work for, letting me fill out my entire application, etc. They informed me after I filled out my entire lease application that they wouldn’t accept it unless I signed 3 extra months. They then proceeded to ghost me and have since refused to respond to my emails. I am VERY fortunate that I didn’t pay anything because i’m positive they would’ve just kept the money and ghosted me. Listen to the other reviews and steer away. They have so many empty units for a reason."

"I’m three months in on being a resident of Deco 265 apartments! This place is very nice and Dewon the manager was very helpful! I moved her in November from Louisville. I did have a hard time reaching him at first but finally got through. He used video so I could see the apartment. I’m very complicated at times and he has patience. It was late when my son and I arrived but he waited so I could get my key. They closed at 5pm when they first opened and this man waited until 7pm. Once I was in my apartment, less than 24 hours I wanted to move to another unit. The need to move had nothing to do with the apartment I had it was my own discomfort. Dewon just showed me another, then I didn’t want that. I had this man running around and I appreciate his patience. I’m glad I kept the apartment, I like the view! The gym is great and I can’t wait for the Summer to enjoy the outdoors lounge. At first it was hardly anyone in the building so it’s nice to start seeing more residents. We have young ladies that come and keep the building clean. I hope the new residents appreciate the building being new and take care of it. Hopefully you can join our community!
