"Moved in this apartment a little over a year ago and I would say, not a great experience. When I first moved in my whole apartment was not cleaned up. I had to clean it all up from the last tenants mess. Should’ve known beforehand to not move in because when I toured it, it was still a mess but I was told that it’ll be cleaned up before my move in date. But of course it was still in the same mess I saw it. Tried contacting office many times and was told location be cleaned even after I got my keys and signed the lease. No clean team ever showed up to clean my room. I was even told by one of the tenants that her room was a mess too when she moved in. I only moved in cause of how quick the move in date was prior to me still waiting on another apartment that took forever. Mangement that started there was super unreliable. Lyndy got information leaked from the first manager I met when living there. Causing all tenants to have to change their locks on the door which made me super uncomfortable. Being told that other people may have access to our apartments was a big no no. I’m just glad they offered to change all locks immediately after. One big thing I hated and is the worst thing is the parking. Not enough street parking, I even got towed once. Ramp is super crowded and always smells like weed in there. Parking was my main concern for anywhere I lived and I hated the parking there. Also, to mention that management was always changed. Some management was good but he only stayed for a month max. After that, the changed management to Natalie Lopez. I had multiple issues with this management. She was the only management that never replied back to emails, no communication ever. I would constantly stop by the office to try and reach her about an issue and would even put my phone number and apartment number to please be contacted, and still nothing back. One day after work I was finally able to reach her right before she left and she just told me that “this is not the only apartment building I’m helping so I’m busy.” Then move out, I kept reaching out to her and no one ever answered the call or emails. I was told on move in day that I would get 2 months off rent and that I would need to pay the first months rent as well as put in my security deposit, which I did both. Manager during that time told me the security deposit is refundable when I move out. Move out day comes and Natalie tells me I own Lyndy money and that I needed proof of those 2 free months. I was never given proof and when I look at the Lyndy website my apartment is up with the SAME offer of 2 months off. So if there’s a special make sure they give you proof of they’re gonna unclaim those months free and say you owe them money and take all of your security deposit. Mind you, I CLEANED my apartment when I left when I received it a MESS. And at the end I didn’t even get half of my security deposit back because management never gave me proof of the 2 months free special that they always have on their website. I only give this a 2 star at least, because it’s a quiet place. No one disrupts you and tenants don’t make a lot of noise. Mess is always cleaned well from the clean team they have. But management is what’s making Lyndy a bad place. They don’t care about their tenants and their needs. They just push you to live there then they forget about you. Wouldn’t live here again, there’s bigger and cheaper places you can find with better management communication."
"It is DANGEROUS living here. Multiple breaches, packages constantly stolen, silent management, no one cares about the tenants. The main doors are constantly destroyed and breached so random people can access the hallways. There is not SECURITY for night time and weekend safety. You will be paying about $1300 just in rent alone to deal with neglect, random people likely homeless dwelling in the the community spaces and stairwells. You concerns will not be addressed. Your car may likely be ransacked and broken into. It will be considered your problem. Take my words for it, I am stuck in this contract until the fall. DO NOT LIVE HERE."
"I am currently a resident here and I would advise all people looking for apts to stay far away from this property. I have lived here a year and almost every concern I have presented to management has gone unaddressed and rudely dismissed. The current property manager decided to take a 2.5 week break when she has been here less than 6 months and leave all of the problems of this property in incompetent hands. It has taken almost 3 weeks and 5 stops by the office just to get my renewal lease sent to me today. Not to mention, there are transients sleeping in doorways doing drugs in front of children while they play in the downstairs lounge room (personally witnessed by me). If you order a package you’d be lucky to get it. I’ve had over 15 packages stolen from me within a year. Also, the property management is hardly ever here. You’re lucky if you can catch them here and they don’t return phone calls but will be quick to put an eviction notice on your door if you’re less than 2 weeks late. This property has been illegally overcharging tenants for utilities in the year of 2023 and didn’t offer anyone their money back, that in itself deserves a lawsuit on behalf of all residents who lived here last year. Just a nightmare living here. DO NOT MOVE HERE. So much more I could say you get the picture"
"It is getting progressively worse living here. Constant theft of packages, break-ins to cars in the parking garage and constant management turn over. Over priced utilities and very limited support. There are cameras on this property but yet no real action taken against perpetrators. As prices go up, safety and quality of the property decline. Random folks access the building constantly. There should be security here at this point. Not worth it for how much you pay."
"I've lived here for close to two years, my lease is up in September (because they screwed it up and didn't do a twelve month lease where I should be out the 1st of November) but that's actually a bit of a blessing in disguise. Since I've lived here the building has gone through several managers and out of the six or so people I've dealt with only the first one seemed to know what they were doing. Recently the company that owns the property, IPG, started making tenants pay them to pay our utilities then tacked on a $35 "service fee" to process the rent/utility payment, which is ridiculous in my opinion. Also while resigning my lease it took 7 months to correct the amount I owed and to stop charging me month to month which was $150 dollars more a month but should have been removed because I resigned my lease. I received two eviction notices because of I was paying the amount agreed upon in my lease agreement and not that additional $150, which I had been told to do by not one, but two different building managers, until finally the issue was resolved. The apartment itself isn't that bad, they keep it rather clean and it is nice being next to the Greenway and all of the restaurants and bars in Uptown. All in all I would avoid this property if you're looking for a new place to live, the apartment itself is a 3/5 but the company that owns/manages it is a solid 1/5. Edit: New building manager that got hired last two months of my residency, Rocky, was awesome to work with. Night and day difference to the previous management. She was professional, knew what she was doing and very kind and reasonable. Rocky 10/10 > IPG 4/10"
