"Great location. Maintenance does a great job of keeping place up. Not good about replacing old carpet etc once you are in unit. People are friendly but too much in each other's business. Rpet"
"I helped my mother to move to the apartments a year ago. The whole process was smooth, Sonya, the manager, was very helpful and had apartment clean and ready, the carpet was changed and the walls were repainted. Every time my mother has an issue, it is fixed right away, in fact the noisy old fridge was replaced by new several months ago. Sonya and Mike, the current managers, are really great!"
"Boardwalk gathered all my information and sent it in for approval by HUD. They said they had everything they needed. They then told me that all was well and I was approved to move in. I was assured that it was OK to give notice and give up my current apartment. I arranged for movers and gave notice at my other apartment complex that I would be moving out. The movers came on moving day, which was 1 day before I could get into the apartment. I arranged for the movers to hold my belongings until the next day, which cost extra money. I arranged to stay overnight with a relative. Late in the afternoon, about 3pm the day before I was to move in, and after the movers came and moved me out, I received a phone call stating that I could not move into the Boardwalk apartment after all. Something was wrong. It was not clearly explained, all I know is that I am now homeless, sleeping on the couch at my relatives. I had to put my furniture in storage, and paid the movers $900 to date for a move to no where. If I could give negative stars I would."
"Boardwalk advertises as a smoke free property. There are signs in the parking lot that say it is “100% Smoke Free”. There are decals at all entrances that say it is “100% Smoke Free”. The brochure, right outside the office, says “smoke free". "No Smoking" is part of the lease agreement. Enforcement of the “smoke free” part of the lease leaves much to be desired. There are ongoing problems with a couple of the tenants who seem to think they are above the rules. One of these tenants is in a nursing home for now while the other is continuing to smoke as if she was given permission."
