Ventana Wayzata

"If it weren’t for the trains and the HVAC noise, this review would be A+. The apartments are very well managed by Michael Barthels, and Tyler responds to problems 24/7. Our apartment at the front of the building has a great view of Wayzata and Lake Minnetonka. The problem is the trains, which run all day and night on tracks just on the other side of Lake Street, and the HVAC system, which drowns out conversation and TV. Between 7 am and 10 pm, there is regular train traffic across from the building. The trains are loud, and they sound their horns as they cross an intersection a block away. If you have a child with an 8 pm bedtime, as we do, or if you just want some early sleep, expect to be jolted awake at 9:30 pm. The noise is loud enough even without horns to wake us up several times a night. If VENTANA management wants to have long term tenants, they need to research and install windows that are truly soundproof, and they need to replace the HVAC system with something that doesn’t sound like a jet engine."
