"The responsiveness of Monticello Crossings staff is top notch. Whenever I bring up something that needs attention it is remedied in a day. The maintenance staff is very friendly and down to earth. Management should give them a raise. It's the staff on site that makes a difference to tenants not upper management."
"Definitely one of the best apartments around, good staff, and a really good maintenance's team. Plenty of rooms to rent out and it has underground parking as well as storage units. Building is right off the highway so if you work in the cities it’s perfect. Probably the best in wright county. A little more expensive but you get what you pay for."
"When we first moved in it was a lot better. Lately, I have seen a slow decline in how things are kept. Dog poop is not picked up like it should be, a lot of pot smells in the hallways. But overall, not a bad experience."
"I lived here for 1 year. No pets It looks like a nice place to live, ITS NOT. I owed over $600 in move out fees (Again I only lived here for a year, I’m a very clean person, and had NO pets) They won’t/can’t turn on AC at proper times and you have to deal with a 80+ degree apartment for weeks. They gave me a window AC unit (for a few days) but they NEVER gave me notice about coming into my apartment to pick it up, and the maintenance man (who you see everyday) walked in on me while I was indecent in bed. The police are there weekly, if not daily. They tow your car, without even trying to contact you beforehand. Your mail packages WILL get stolen They refuse to put up cameras in parking lots and garages, and A-LOT of theft and damage to vehicles happens. The vending machines never work. The pool is either broken or Freezing. Your lease will go up a minimum of $100 every year, making a 1 bed apartment $1575 your second year. The “management team” treats this place as their business, not a place that is your HOME. They will walk around talking smack about everyone, and they do not care about anything except punching the clock, and the ownership company only care about making more money. It’s not worth it. Don’t live here."
"For the price, it's not worth it. I lived here for a little over a year and during that time, I was charged much more than comparable apartments. During the last few months, when my lease expired and went 'month-to-month', my rent was increased to nearly DOUBLE. The administrators must have found some justification for charging 1.75 times the rent while actively pushing me to sign another lease (which was also exorbitantly priced). I believe they were trying to keep me from moving into a different apartment by making it difficult to save up enough money to cover a deposit on a new room. Due to the location of the complex, one half of the building is plagued with loud, disturbing traffic at all hours of the day. If you do plan on staying here, make sure to avoid these rooms if you like sleeping. The amenities here are fairly comprehensive, but if you choose not to use them or don't need them, you're still going to pay for access to them. The quality of the rooms are quite nice compared to nearby apartments; the appliances, the cabinets and counter-tops, etc. Hot water was unfortunately a thing of the past for me, as it took 10 minutes of running the faucet to get anything close to 'hot'. During the spring and fall months, the Air Conditioning was kept off (or turned off too early, respectively) causing the temperature inside to get to 85° or 90° most nights, even with all the windows letting in the 65° outside air. Overall, living here was a mostly negative experience due to the insulting pricing. Had the pricing been lower, it would have been a mostly positive experience. My dissatisfaction is by no means caused by the office staff or the maintenance (which were responsive in fixing any issues), but rather the person who decided to set the prices so high. I will not go back to this apartment."
