"ComedySportz was a great show, funny and clean humor was a plus for family. I'm interested in the After dark show. The Theatre staff was very nice. The Theatre itself is pretty low key, if you plan on meeting up ahead of time maybe consider one of the local spots in the building."
"Such a fun experience! A friend and I found this on eventbrite and went to a story slam for the first time in February. The people who run Strike Theater are clearly very passionate about their art and have made a place that has great vibes and a supportive community. Will definitely go back for more events!"
"The Strike Theater is nothing fancy, nor does it pretend to be. Thus, it is a venue perfectly suited for ultra-intimate theater experiences. Situated in a converted old factory, bygone industrial charm abounds. The no-nonsense lobby features a couple of sofas and other seats, with a small concession stand next to the theater door. (Be forewarned, the restrooms are about a block away inside the large building.) The theater itself consists of five rows of risers with a central aisle, separating two sections of portable chairs. The stage is on the floor. High ceilings, feature exposed factory elements, which only add to the charm of the space. There are no bad sight lines anywhere, even if someone tall is sitting in front of you. You feel very connected with the performers, as they are just feet away. The lighting and sound are more than adequate to fill the space. My most recent visit there was two enjoy a ComedySportz improv event. It’s a great space for improv, as you’ll have no trouble hearing everything. Fingers crossed that one day you’ll be able to enjoy what might be the Twin Cities at least pretentious (but highly enjoyable) theater space."
"A wide variety of really fun shows and classes. A great place for storytelling, sketch comedy, improv and more. Candy, chips, beer, cider, soda available. In the same building as Tattersall if you’re looking to make a night of it."
"The space is really great - intimate setting, not a bad seat anywhere. Concessions has a decent number of snack and drink options. We came here for an improv show. I would only give 3 stars for the performance itself. I would say about half of the performers were seasoned improvisers, while the others were noticeably struggling. There were some funny scenes, but not enough to make it worth coming to see again. We will try a different kind of performance in the future and see how it goes!"
