"First impressions for toddlers' first dental visit. Perks- It's a spacious office The office atmosphere isn't kid-friendly. Nothing gave us the impression that it was a kids' dental office. The pictures on the wall were images of downtown little rock & what was showing on the television didn't display kid friendly. The entire facility had a STRONG aroma of Fabuloso. As if it had been poured directly on the walls ,floor, & the chairs. We are all for sanitizing and facilities being cleaned , but it was just an overload of the cleaning product. Then we were called back with a hello to the parents . With this being a first visit for the child greet them , nothing was explained as to what was about to happen. We were told to go to the left then take another left, and we ended up in a nook spot with a dirty mop head on the floor ,4 containers with plastic pieces inside of them in a corner, not sealed (child safety #1 priority) . Once again, there was no friendly explanation of what the tech was about to do. Just please place your child in this chair. Well it's dirty on the bottom metal area and it's wet from the medical wipe used to sanitize it, just trying to let it air dry just a bit, before placing the child on the seat. The child is 3, and it's their first visit. Be friendly, talk to the child, and make them feel welcome. The vibe of the tech telling the child No, you can't do that, your mouth isn't opened wide enough , no stop holding your head down. We could sense the frustration immediately. He's 3 once again , keep calm , he has no idea what's going on, and maybe if you place it to your mouth first, he will feel okay. Every child responds differently. The vibe in the room, the little details that mattered the most , made us feel uncomfortable. This isn't the first experience we wanted to witness. Unfortunately, we will not return for any future visits."
