"Ive been going to Dr Cockrum for close to 15 years. I moved from NLR about 3 years ago, I continue to drive from LR to see her once a year. I find Doctor Cockrum to be knowledgeable and professional. I appreciate my appointments with her are carried out promptly she knows both my time and her time is valuable. The one time I had a concerning issue to discuss with her, she took additional time during the exam and also time tp discuss the issue with me. All the time Ive been seeing her I have waited only twice over an hour in the exam room. It was my choice. Each time I was told Dr Cockrum had to leave the clinic to deliver a baby and given the options to either stay and wait, see the nurse practitioner, or reschedule my appointment. I feel that, this situation comes up when you schedule an apointment with an OBGYN. The last time I waited I asked her what was the sex of the baby that just arrived. She beamed and said "a beautiful baby girl." DR Cockrum meets all of my needs. I would recommend her to others. I have waited 30 minutes in the waiting room before, knowing that she will spend additional time with someone because they needed it and will do the same with me."
"I have had the privilege of working as an anesthesia provider with Dr. Cockrum for the last 6 years. As a CRNA, we have a front-row seat to our surgeons’ abilities, and it is because of her impeccable surgical skills, excellent bedside manner, and clinical expertise that I chose her to be my personal OBGYN when I became pregnant. My pregnancy was complicated by idiopathic polyhydramnios, and my water broke 4 weeks early, which resulted in a very scary emergency C-section in the middle of the night. Side story: My husband also broke his leg running down the stairs when my water broke, so needless to say, the night was traumatic. Dr. Cockrum was absolutely incredible in the compassion she showed & her ability to remain calm in a high-stress situation, and she safely delivered our son roughly 1.5 hours after my water broke at home. My recovery was seamless, my incision is almost difficult to see 8-weeks postpartum, and my son is here and healthy because of her. I highly recommend Dr. Cockrum from both a personal and professional standpoint. Without question, she is one of the best OBGYNs our state has to offer."
"Do not use this Dr!!!!! I went into have hysterectomy and came out with my ureter cut in half. Had to have 4 more surgeries to half way repair me. I now have kidney problems and nerve damage. I had two other nurses tell me she messed them up too!!! They. Said she rushes through the surgeries."
"Please do not ever trust this doctor. What she explained to me was a simple procedure to remove my left ovary (now I understand that wasn't even necessary), I woke up from surgery with her telling me she accidentally damaged my right ovary and I could no longer have children. All she did was say "sorry, sometimes these things happen.." She tried to convince me to have a hysterectomy at 27 years old. I am so sad and depressed. I've tried to forgive but I'm so hurt about. I will never allow another doctor to put me to sleep for any reason. Please go somewhere else."
"3 years ago I was looking for a female doctor in NLR and I found her, I saw her probably 3 times during the whole pregnancy, she was always busy. Waiting time was not less than 30 minutes, sometimes it went over 1 hr or almost 2. The day I was delivering my baby the nurse was worried because she wasn't there. She got there when I was already pushing and basically she just came to catch the baby... She also did a HORRIBLE episiotomy that I did'n need or wanted, but she didn't ask. I don't recommend her at all. Now I'm pregnant with baby #2 and of course I didn't go back to her."
