Reviews of The BridgeWay
"There is a separate women’s unit that is incredibly clean, good food, and staff that go above and beyond for their patients. There are visitation days and incredible doctors. They offer ECT treatments and detox to patients that meet criteria. Great place to get mental health care!"
"I cannot say enough great things about The Bridgeway. They took amazing care of me during my 7 day stay and I’m on the road to recovery. A MAJOR shoutout to Kasie, one of the nurses that took my needs into consideration and allowed me to know that I was NOT alone in this. Another shoutout to a couple others. Constance, and Al, some of the mental health techs. We always had something to laugh about!!!"
"This program has helped me so much already. I’m on my third week. From day 1. I felt welcome and that I was not alone. My counselors Sarah and Jessica are awesome! Would definitely recommend to peers etc!"
"This is the literal last place you should go to in the event of a mental emergency. These people are after money. My father went here to have his medication adjusted and was swindled into a 24 hour observation period, that soon turned into a several day stay. They will lie and say that if you’re voluntary, you can leave. You can’t. On top of that, they confused my Father for an alcoholic on detox. They admitted twice on the phone (two different nurses) to giving him medication to help his detox. This is incredibly alarming. He isn’t an alcoholic and I had even given them his full name and patient number. Most people at most jobs can manage to not confuse actual living human beings, but apparently Bridgeway can’t do that! And they’ll go so far as to completely deny it. They can’t keep track of charts, hardly anyone knows how to read one, they talk to you in double speak, they belittle patients. I can’t understand how anyone could work here and not feel like a soulless excuse of a human who can’t sleep at night. Shame on the supervisor nurse for not being able to answer any simple question without handing her phone off to an assistant."
"I was a patient here when I was around 11. I am now 36. I hated this place. This was another failed attempt to heal the angry child. I was angry! I was being abused at home. I told this facility, amongst others who just wrote my attitude off as of misdiagnosis of mood disorder. Disruptive behavior disorder and ADD. I was very heavily medicated. I told staff over and over I was abused at home. Instead of calling dhs they called my abusers who came to a visit just to whisper in my ear and say you will retract your statement or I will find a place where you will never get out. I will make your life hell. She wasn't kidding.i never retracted what I said. This therapist never called social services. The best facility I ever went to was youth villages in Arlington, TN. They seen right through my abusers and didn't agree with the diagnosis of Bridgeway or Millcreek of Arkansas. I was finally seen as a victim of child abuse. Social services was called, and my abusers had to take accountability. Did I mention my older sister was placed in foster care while I was inpatient at Millcreek. Neither one of these facilities Millcreek or Bridgeway called social services. They just released me back into the custody of my abusers. With wrong diagnoses. I have none of the diagnoses these 2 places diagnosed me with forcing me on medications I never needed that permanently altered the chemicals in my brain. Youth villages was my very last placement with promise and success."
