"Wonderful doctor. Very thoughtful and caring. Explained every thing that he would do and as he did his job explained each procedure."
"Dr. Laws is a wonderful doctor! He has a passion for his job and takes the time to listen to every concern! However.. the front office staff make it almost impossible to continue to go to his practice. I have seen doctor laws for six years and I’ve had two really bad experiences with the lady who does financials and I worked in an office with some other women who’ve had horrible experiences with her but the office manager doesn’t seem to think multiple complaints and mistakes warrant any action. Last week my husband was in Hawaii(for work).. I stared having an issue while he was gone. I went to doctor laws office on a Friday and was super excited he was able to get me in. When I got there I apparently had a patient portion which I didn’t expect. I told her that my husband was in Hawaii which is four hours behind us. I said “he has our health savings he will probably call me back with it before then end of my appointment, if not I can call you this afternoon” she said “we leave early.” I said “well I’ll call you Monday” she said “people say they will call and they don’t”.. okay I get this, I worked in a medial office for years, I worked for Vanderbilt for a while, I also worked for a dental office.. however I have been going there for SIX years.. I have never missed a payment(and we had to pay around 250 a month when I was pregnant with both of my babies), when I’ve been sent a bill I’ve always paid it immediately and I’ve even overpaid on three different occasions and they didn’t mind keeping the extra money they owed me for MONTHS! I explained that I had never given her a reason to think I wouldn’t pay my bill and that I had a health savings with a few thousand dollars on it, I just didn’t have it with me but that I promised I would call. Well she made me stand up there and call my husband more than 20 times before he finally answered because he was asleep, to top things off I had a full bladder which was required to do the ultrasound I was doing. He ended up sending me a picture of the card and I paid my full amount(of course) but the rudeness and making me stand there with a full bladder for 30 minutes and call my husband 20 times was just ridiculous for a patient who’s never missed a payment or not paid a bill in six years of seeing him.. however the way the financial lady explained it, her treatment of me is just “Dr. Laws policy” which is why I gave him three stars instead of 5. I also made an appointment with Dr. householder after that experience.. I saw her with my first child and she was amazing, I switched because east side was super close to my job. Oh and the other mistake the financial lady made was after my last baby I was getting my tubes tied with an ablation. I worked with medical insurance for years and had called my insurance to check my patient portion... well I had reached my deductible and out of pocket max since I had a baby that year. Well the financial lady said my portion was around 1500 dollars and that I needed to pay it prior to surgery. I explained that I had called the insurance and my out of pocket max was met. She insisted and said she’d checked.. I told her the amount that she kept stating was the family out of pocket not mine.. after arguing and telling me that she knows how to do her job and I don’t she finally agreed to call back and check again. Well low and behold... my patient portion was $0 because I had met my out of pocket max. Shocker. Anyways. Just be prepared for being treated disrespectfully and like your not trustworthy because apparently.. “that’s doctors laws policy”."
