"My daughter surprised me with an almond marquise or like we called “Marquesa de Almendras”. This was for my birthday. I haven’t eaten one since 2017 when I left Venezuela. It was delicious! But delicious is not enough to describe it. It took me back to those marquesas de almendra from the le bon vi vant in la encrucijada, Cagua Aragua. Eat this cold, from the refrigerator with coffee.
