"AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! NOTE: This is the same company Disaster Link Restoration Services 3051 E Hope Street (duplicate company in Google). UPDATE: We won the case...see the attached copy of the judgement. The judge ruled we had to pay a resonable amount for the services provided (which was our goal all along) and that DisasterLink had to pay $2,000.00 in damages to us. ****we have been paying installments to DisasterLink for almost a year and we have yet to receive a dollar from this company**** DisasterLink held the entire contents (with no lien) of our home hostage for over a year and refused to release it unless we paid $12,000; $12,000 to pack, move, and store the contents of a 2000 square foot home for a month (they originally tried billing us over $30,000.00!!!). All other quotes we received put the cost at around $3000 to $4000.00. This company and it’s owner, Marc Faseler, are in business with another unlicensed, unregister company called The Pelican Contents Restoration (the other names they use are: The Pelican Contents Storage, The Pelican Family, and Pelican Power). The Pelican Contents Restoration is being operated by Christopher Patrick Lewallen who was convicted of consumer fraud in 2012 by the Arizona Attorney General, and was hit with a 10.6 million dollar judgement. The Pelican Contents Restoration does not exist anywhere, other than their own website. This is how their scam works: Customers call DisasterLink (a legal, registered company), and Marc sends out The Pelican. The Pelican arrives; they have you sign a "Work Order," but do not supply you with any pricing (written or verbal). They then remove as much property as they can from your home, and refuse to give you a detailed inventory listing of what is removed. Their “inventory process” consists of throwing everything in boxes, removing it from your home, supposedly unpacking it again, and then “restoring” it….then, you receive the “detailed” inventory listing. After all this, you are hit with inflated billing. They now have all of your possessions and do anything in their power to get as much money from you as possible. When/if you get your property back (you have to pay in advance, of course) and discover missing belongings, they respond, "If it wasn't on the inventory list, we're not responsible for it" …they state this on their Work Order, as well. ***Don't believe ANYTHING that either of these guys tell you; they will do and say whatever necessary to make a buck***"
