"I wish I didn’t have to give even one star! I broke my wrist and went to Emergency room HSP. I have great insurance and had already met my deductible and sound physicians billed me for the Dr being out of network! I was sent a bill for $2200! I had zero control over what Dr would see me! The HSP is in network, therefore the Dr’s have to send claim as in network as well!! I have gone round and round with so many people at Soubd physicians and finally just gave up and got on a payment plan. I was promised account would not go to collections if I pay each month, which I have been doing and now I get a letter from collections! My credit is great but now it’s not!! I am taking them to court! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Organization!!"
"Horrible!! I wish there was an option to not even give a star. I went to the hospital a few years ago for stomach pain I sat in the waiting room for 4 hours and after not being seen I left. I then went across town to an urgent care to be seen. A few months later I received a bill from sound physicians saying I own $1140. I immediately called the hospital to verify this and they informed me that there was no bill because I left without being seen but the bill I received was from the Dr since they bill separately. How can you be billed for something when you weren’t even seen, so I got my records from the hospital and from the urgent care I went to so I could compare records and have documentation. As I was reviewing the records the Dr had stated that I received IV fluids in the hospital at the EXACT time my vitals were being taken across town at the urgent care. I have disputed this multiple times with the credit bureau and this company but they just keep reopening it and putting it back on me. I will not pay for dime to a lying physician!!!!!!!! I really think the only way I’m going to get this taken care of is by taking them to court!!!!!"
"Shady Billing practices. Trying to charge twice for the same procedure even after confirming insurance covered the procedure 100%. No way to talk to a person which is a red flag to begin with. Ask questions before your procedure and don't allow this company to sedate you."
"This company doesn't even deserve a star. The other reviews hit the nail on the head. I wanted to add my review because there is power in numbers. When I received my first bill in July after a visit in April, they had listed on the bill the portion my insurance covered and the amount I was responsible for. I paid what I was responsible for. Two months later I receive another bill for even more than the original amount stating that I never paid. After arguing over the phone for 30 minutes, I had to SUGGEST that I send a bank statement proving I paid the original amount owed. Fast forward to November. I received yet another bill in the mail for an additional 200 dollars. Once again, I call and have to argue over the phone to reach no conclusion. They even went as far as to say they have no record of any bill in July. Which confuses me because I have bank statements proving that I paid them in July. THAT I SENT THEM. Stay away from anyone who uses their service. I will not be cooperating with them any further nor will I on any future matter."
"I agree with the other reviewers in that Sound Physicians don't know how to bill or how to understand insurance company reimbursements to them, so they just turn around and bill the ENTIRE amount to the patient. So there must be tons of patients who overpay because of this. Perhaps they do it on purpose because it's a way to commit fraud without having to worry about the authorities cracking down on them because they just billed "incorrectly"."
