Dr. Joel E. Parker, MD

"Dr. Joel knows what he is talking about and is definitely caring. He has helped me tremendously. He thinks outside the box which I can appreciate. However on at least 2 occasions I have ran out of medication due to him/his office not refilling them. For instance this last time, even though I am up to date with my appointments, I have called the office for the last 2-3 days to try to get my medication refilled and I have not gotten a call back in regards to this or the medication refilled. I gave them plenty of time to refill before I ran out and I still ran out. Now it’s the weekend because he is not open on fridays and I have no medication. I guess my best advice when dealing with this practice is to be sure you give them like a week or two notice before you run out of medication. Honest opinion, not refilling prescriptions in my book is highly unethical."

"I have many things that could be said about this alleged physician. He is completely unethical and only looking to make money. I was not his patient and was sent to him on behalf of an insurance company looking to deny benefits. Of course, he disregarded everything that is independently supported and spun answers and summaries of providers to make an already very difficult situation for me health wise even worse. One can look up this physician and see he supports certain treatments and medications but if you are not his patient apparently this is not the care to receive. As part of my trying to move past my traumas I have made a commitment to no longer allow people in supposed authority positions try to take advantage of those that have a harder time fighting back. Be leary of this one. I hold strong by believing something greater than such individuals will take care of these injustices."

"I went to Dr. Parker for years and wouldn't go to anyone else. He is good at what he does and is to the point. He is professional, easy to build rapport with and if you see him long enough has a sense of humor. He is one of my favorite doctors and would highly recommend him. He cares about his patients and takes the necessary time to figure out what's going on."

"I was very, very sick with thyroid cancer. I needed another medical doctor involved, because it appeared my endocrinologist was dragging his feet, not caring for me properly, and needed a wakeup call from another physician. So, I did not want to see a Master's level therapist, I did not want a psychologist. I wanted a psychiatrist to sit across the table from me for 45 minutes and explain the thyroid gland. Dr parker did. He was very easy to talk to about sensitive matters, he was professional, and he broke medical terminology down into layman terms. He did jump into the corner of the endocrinologist for a brief moment, however, I soon redirected him out of there. I kept him focused on me, the patient, and I kept him busy with my hammered questions. I would recommend him."
