"Absolutely terrible experience. Im leaving out a lot of details due to space. The HQ staff told me this detox would be like taking suboxone. Absolutely false. Sloan is a great doctor but was only around for 2 days of my detox. Joseph took over for him and should not be helping addicts as he has 0 compassion and no concept of bedside manner. He decided to lecture me on joining NA while I’m in bad withdrawals on day 3. He made jokes about my makeup all over my face and joked about the amount of blankets I had. All while I’m vomiting, shaking, etc. the day of the vivitrol shot I was in mild withdrawals but I got it. (Btw, I ended up in the ER and they also said I was in bad withdrawal day 4). Prior to the shot, he told me people use it for weight loss and suggested I get on lexapro. I told him I got seratonin syndrome from it in the pastwhich he pretty replied with I didn’t know what I was talking about. I wish I never took that shot. I was severely I’ll for the following 2 weeks I lost 30 lbs in 3 weeks. Missed my flight home bc I couldn’t walk. Severe nausea for weeks. Was back in urgent care and ER several times wit dehydration. Zofran shots every day did not help. Research vivitrol abs you’ll see many experience horrible side effects Which I was never warned of. What’s interesting is in day 2 I was given suboxone “it’s their secret” fix. But day 4 as I’m dying in tge ER, sloan tells me it won’t work. Why not now but on day 2? Anyways , your HQ staff should not tell people this detox us like taking suboxone. It’s not. don’t lecture about NA when they are vomiting all over themselves, don’t make LAME jokes about your patient. Leave it for the end when you have successfully detoxed them in the manner you sold them on. I was sold a dream bc my experience was FAR from what I was told I would experience. I would never recommend the Coleman clinic or working with Joseph. PS- I didn’t bring ANY drugs with me but I sure wish I had because that was probably the worst 5 days of my life. I’ll never go back to AZ either."
"I just want to thank Dr.Sloan and all of his staff for giving me my freedom back. I was addicted to methadone for 17 years and was at the point of accepting the fact that I would be chained to a clinic for the rest of my life. It’s amazing to be able to wake up every morning without having to put methadone first. When I look back on my detox now it really was not as bad as I expected. Dr. Sloan and his whole staff were wonderful to work with."
"I would never have got clean if it wasn’t for The Coleman Institute. It’s the most cost effective and comfortable detox. You don’t feel the detox and you wake up clean and free. Highly recommend to anyone struggling with addiction. If you have tried everything else, or it’s your first time getting clean, this is the only way to go. THEY DO NOT USE SUBOXONE TO GET YOU CLEAN like other fake detox places that just put you on subs. The doctors and staff are amazing as well, they truly care."
"I would highly recommend this facility. The doctors and nurses are very compassionate and truly care about you. They make your whole experience easier to get through. After trying on my own to stop Klonopin after being on it for 10 years for Fibromyalgia numerous times unsuccessfully I sought help with The Coleman Institute through The Compassionate Care center in Phoenix, AZ. They were great and it was so much easier. I am forever grateful to them. It changed my life."
