"Dr. Mahoney was thorough, explained the condition of my shoulder by displaying x-ray. Explained alternative surgical options with clarity as to the preferred option based upon my condition. Did not push surgery. Recommended discussion with family and thinking it over. I had already done that so decided to proceed with surgery. Was disappointed that surgery was scheduled 6 weeks out but appreciative that Dr. Mahoney is busy vs surgeons that do not necessarily have that much demand. Pleasant, friendly, and thorough."

"TOI was clean, and everything was nice at check in. I don’t know if we hit it off wrong or what, but I’m surprised at Dr Mahoney’s reviews! I felt he lacks compassion. He rattled off treatment plans in terms I didn’t understand, and he seemed rushed, which made me lose my train of thought and then next thing you know, he’s gone. If he had shown an ounce of bedside manner, it might’ve left me with a better impression. He was the first available after my accident, so that’s why I’m with him."

"Dr. Mahoney is very cheerful, caring, patient, and listens intently. He spent more than enough time, along with a wonderful intern, going over X-Rays in detail, examining my hand thoroughly, and recommending the least invasive form of treatment. He performed shoulder replacement surgery 3 years earlier and still remembered me, checked out my shoulder, and even got some exercises and a stretch band for me when I told him my shoulder blades have been bothering me. Additionally after my surgery 3 years ago, he called after business hours to check on my pain level and surgery site. How many doctors take the time to do that anymore?! He truly is invested in his patients. I live 1.75 hours away and have several options for surgical care,along the way, but would not even consider going elsewhere. He and his staff from the appointment scheduler, check-in receptionist, nurse, and X-Ray technician are top notch, as well as the excellent Intern that was working with him, are all EXCEPTIONAL!!! May I add that I was 30 minutes early and was called back in less than 5 minutes! For these reasons and more, I won't go anywhere else! TOI has amazing talent clinic wide!"
