"I wanted to exchanged a dress for one that fits me. I bought 5 dresses and other things from them. I had my receipt of purchase, but the guy at the main desk said I couldn’t. It’s weird! I had my receipt with me. I made a trip to this place to waste gas. They need to let the costumers know about their return policy at the moment of paying. Also last time I asked the same guy about the locating of something in the store, he had no idea where things were. I had to find it myself."
"*second edit Aug 2023 - it looks like they've greatly reduced their prices overall and everything is much more reasonable. Clothing is flat rate depending on type of item, most below $5. Furniture is also much more affordable, love this place even more!! This place is a thrifter's dream. They get some really good donations. Everyone was super helpful and friendly, great prices on some beautiful furniture, antique and modern. Haven't checked out the clothing yet but the housewares and furniture were spectacular. As I understand the proceeds go to Parkinson's and Alsheimer's research. *edit after checking out the clothing and prices I dropped this review down to 4 stars. There were some stained clothes and most shirts and pants were around $8 or higher, a little steep in my opinion. They do have sales however"
"First time in there yesterday and I gotta say, it's gonna be my new favorite little shop. So many treasures, appears to have a good selection of clothing. Very reasonable prices. I found a good amount of children's books and I swear I felt guilty with how much it was lol.. A total bargain for sure and my little boy loved every single book I found. Everyone is so friendly, it's so tidy and clean, it's so inviting. I wish I asked what incense they used that day, it was very subtle and soft and so relaxing lol I want to feel that way when I walk into my home lol so I'm definitely going to ask next time. All around excellent experience and it's definitely got that "old school" thrifting vibe, I've been thrifting for over 20 years, its my happy place and they don't make them like this little shop anymore so I'm so pleased to have found it."
"I donate here a lot and I also shop for children’s books for my kiddos. I was accidentally overcharged but didn’t realize until I got home. I went back today and they already had my refund ready for me. Great customer service, very kind people working here! When they first opened My son came with me and he was offered a free stuffed animal of his choice which he was really excited about. They have an adorable carousel for the kids to ride on in the store. The store is well put together and clean! I also love that they have a table outside of free books! I will continue to purchase books here and donate to this store."
"I thought I would be helping people in the community but I was wrong. I donated clothes to Old School Thrift before it opened. After it opened I went in and found the clothes I donated were being sold for unbelievable prices. For instance, a men’s Wrangler, short sleeve, button snap shirt I donated was being sold for over 8 bucks. The shirts sell new at Walmart for 13.99. The people I thought I would help can’t afford these prices. I looked at the furniture and the prices there are obscene. From now on I will only Donate to homeless shelters or the trash. How greedy. I realize the proprietor claims it goes to charity but how much goes in their pocket? I hope old school thrift goes out of business. Be cool, don’t donate to this School."
