"I went in for supposedly routine hip surgery and woke up in the hospital on major pain drugs. He told my husband that he broke my femur just like he did in the last surgery but this time he broke out 8 inches of my right femur and I had a plate and screws and bolts. My husband and I were both shocked since he had inferred before he found a small break in my femur and D fixed it for me, never admit ting he caused it. The break he caused on my right femur left me in terrible pain and immobility for many weeks. After four days on morphine in the hospital the social worker said I needed to go to a rehab facility instead of going home. I was transported and moved to the Haven by stretcher where my care was sub par, they didn't have the pain meds prescribed by the doctor and were rude and snippy the first couple of days. My husband said we have to get you out of here. I can give you much better care at home. The facility said I could only leave if Dr Wild would sign me out. My husband made calls to him but none were returned. He got an on call physician on Saturday who said she would pass on my urgent need to get out and go home. He never called. We found and on call Haven doctor to agree to sign me out but not until Monday. When we went to get my stitches out Dr wild admitted he the on call doctor had told him we said we urgently needed his help but he didn't feel he needed to call us back He just looked at us and shrugged his shoulders. So. I would think that after he seriously injured me and I ended up in a bad rehab center, he could have made a call. What about the Hippocratic oath? I I now.have extra medical and PT bills to pay. I am glad PT will help me make a recovery in the months to come so I can get back to simple pleasures of babysitting my grand kids and walking the dogs ."
