"I am enrolled in doctoral program specializing in organizational leadership and my experience has been pretty smooth and a very fun journey. Professors are helpful and am treated with good feedback. Enjoying my journey overall"
"By far, the WORST school you can ever attend. They do not care about their students success at all whatsoever. The HESI test is built to fail you. All their “resources” are not valid. They do not meet their passing requirements for anything so they have closed all cohorts for nursing programs. I didn’t even get notified of them closing after I paid for HESI and background check I had to find out from a coworker. And they are not refunding money back to anyone. They made me file an appeal to wait 30 days all to tell me they weren’t refunding or accommodating any students and to “transfer to a sister school” so unprofessional. They don’t offer tutoring and I’ve had 3 different advisors within a year of attending. So disgusted and disappointed with this “school”"
"The Admission process wasn't hard at all. The length of the program isn't bad. However, it is accelerated, so be ready for that. One thing they leave out is that they are essay based ( even the math course). Ideally, they want you to take two classes at a time to finish the program within the 36 months. The assignments are posted but the assignment(s) content are very vague, which can lead you either to write a really good paper or a really bad one. You order expensive books that do not really help with any of the assignments ( they really want you to use the aspen library as a source). Most of the information you get to complete your 1200-1700 word essays every week is purely independent research. If you have a question about your assignments, by the time the instructors respond to you, you have about a day or two if that, to complete a rough draft, final draft and make sure its typed in APA format and submitted on time. If you work full time, it is rough. The worst thing is that it is $450.00 per class. That is a lot of money for doing things on your own and not getting a lot of instruction. I guess that is why they call them " instructors" and not teachers, because they do not teach you anything. The school isn't a bad school- just not ideal for someone who has a family, full time job and kids who also have their own agenda with school sports, ect. I know nursing school isn't a breeze, just make sure you know what you are getting into before you enroll."
"The admission process has been rough so far. They provide absolutely no support whatsoever. So i was supposed to start my classes on December 7th, they did everything possible to postpone my start date. Now it’s on the 21st. This is a little problematic for me because they have deadlines for the core nursing program and if you’re not finished with the 8week long classes you cannot start core. My advisor Christian, even from the start seemed a little unwilling to work with a potential student, so i basically had to do the work by myself by calling and emailing them everyday. If you plan on enrolling in this institution you’re probably going to do the same. I will update you when i finally get to start. Update: i ended up starting the class on time after they contacted me. so far the cultural diversity class has been smooth. Just 2 discussions and a module assignment due every week. The teacher is also very helpful and accommodating. will update after class ends."
"Finished up my bachelors degree in business administration at Aspen. The curriculum was clearly laid out and expectations were set right from the beginning. You will essentially read through the books, participate in weekly discussions with you classmates and write 2-5 page papers weekly on your readings. It’s straightforward and if you’re responsible, disciplined and motivated, it’s a great place to get a degree at a low cost! Also, I checked with my employer (fortune 100 firm) and it was accredited. While applying for Master’s programs the accreditation was once again validated."
