"My daughter did 2 years here kinder and 1st grade she needed more than a 504 which did nothing to help they refused to give her the iep help she needed when asked why can’t she get iep help they said they don’t provide that service which is the sorriest excuse I’ve ever heard but it’s ok I thought no school is perfect but there’s more issues here they are CONSTANTLY in your wallet attempting to get more money from you they do NOT provide ANY school supplies at all they sell snacks and supplies to the kid they sell field trips they sell you summer school WHICH is 1200 bucks so this year I thought I’d try something different and put her in a TUSD school with a free after school program which is more than just recess like la Palomas and I can say I’m blown away with Ochoa she gets FREE breakfast lunch and dinner with the FREE JOHN VALENZULA program and she was tested for her iep on day 1 and smaller class sizes so she gets more individually attention and FREE supplies I bought her stuff because I was used to la Paloma ridiculous wishlist items but she doesn’t even need it Ochoa supplied EVERYTHING la Paloma gets money from the state AND from tuition from parents they should be able to afford basic things for the kids but since it’s actually a business not a school they DO NOT CARE I’m not saying Public schools are better but la Paloma is definitely not the answer sorry"
"My son went to the Pre-K program and I loved it. The staff who greeted us in the mornings and afternoons were always amazing. Miss Peggy was always a peach. My son liked his teachers Miss Yoyo and Mrs. Cleaver. The summer program was great and he loves that as well. However dealing with the elementary school side of it is so frustrating. The communication is terrible. I explained an urgent situation and Kathy could have cared less. So my child doesn’t go here anymore. I need people who care about my child’s education on board with me."
"At this school teachers treat the kids with an amazing amount of disrespect, even if the students are younger than the teachers that shouldn't mean that they can talk down to them. Many of the teachers talk about their personal lives which may not be appropriate for school."
"I miss all my friends and the teachers i wish that i could stay there but i thank all my friends and the staff and all of my teachers and i just miss all of u guys so much but hopefully u guys will have a fabulous school year and that u will have a great year I WILL BE MISSING U BUT I LOVE ALL OF MY TEACHERS AND FRIENDS"
"This School is a joke. Doesn't matter if your child is falling way behind or not they give you a great report card but the testing show different just so they can keep up their persona of being a great school so the kids can pass on to the next grade even though the kids don't know the basics they are supposed to know in their current grad. They put 3rd graders in pull ups. Why don't you actually teach this generation something so they can grow up knowing the basics!"
